CNN is debating this. They're not focusing on what I'm trying to say. I'm not saying, necessarily, that they should have known he was gonna do this. My main point is them not being able to ID him without the help of the public. He was in their files and living in the Boston area. He could have been picked up 10 minutes after they figured out it was he and his brother that did this. They keep files for a reason. Look for Boston area people in that precious FBI file. Go to his house with a swat team. Or wait for him to leave the house in unmarked car. Pick him up. My God, he wasn't on file for being a potential drug dealer. He was on file for extremist views.

You hear the interview with his mom? The FBI told her that they thought her son was a leader and dangerous. His dad said the FBI came 5 different times to interview him. Somebody who interviewed him should have thought of him seconds after the first explosion.

I have yet to hear anybody bring this up on these news shows.

I'm sure he was on a short list of people to check out as soon as the incident took place. But until they had some kind of proof that this guy was not only there, but had something to do with the bombings, it made sense to get as much information from anyone that might supply information as possible. I assume some of that information might well have been used to confirm that these 2 brothers were indeed responsible. Confirming this within a couple days and catching them both (dead or alive) within just 4 days, was pretty quick. Knowing the radical views the older brother had though, they should have revoked his citizenship and sent him back to Russia years ago.

So I ask again in what seems to be a colossal fuck up does this finally cost Holder his job?
I agree that the Pres has made some good speeches during this but that is what he does. He talks a good game. Does he still have the Harry Truman saying on his desk like most President do that"The Buck Stops Here" in the end he is responsible for what happens. It is in his fucking oath of office. I find it totally indefensible that the one was in their files and they could not figure out who he was. He was local . Also he should have been escorted out of here a few years ago when his extremist leanings became evident. He was here as a refuge,a guest of our country hiding out from those he wanted t do damage too. So what does he do,he literally bites the hand that feeds him.

Actually if Holder had actionable intelligence that this was going to happen and did nothing about it, I think they should make him Secretary of State.

But that's just me.

It has to do with early 2000's, President Bush and his Sec. of State.

Alternate Theory:

The FBI was interviewing and keeping tabs on him, meeting with him, guiding him and setting up an operation to bag him in the act.

Soooo... Its now accepted that Condi had "actionable intelligence" that something specific enough to stop was going to happen but they allowed it to go down anyway?

Are you calling me a chas apologist because I think its silly to say that Rice had actionable specific intel that could have stopped 9/11 had she chosen to?
That's insulting and kind of daft.

Actually to say that US didn't have actionable intelligence about 9/11 is kind of daft. But we'll agree to disagree on that one. Cause the government is out to get us. I'm looking at the black helicopters outside my windows right now.

What the everloving hell are you talking about?
Man. I just don't get you man. When you talk sports you make sense. But you get into these weird ass pissy moods when you talk about this kind of stuff and you lose it.
I don't buy the truther crap. I don't buy that the Bush administration had specific actionable intel and could have prevented 9/11. I kniw guys were on the radar. So were these bozos. But that's a far cry from "specific actionable intelligence".
I'd ask you to outline how and what this specific actionable intel is but I'm not really feeling like getting into one of these with you.
What I do find fascinating is you absolute obsession with George Bush. Its incredible. Everything relates to him somehow to you. Everything comes back to him. Any questionable government move is ok because somehow bush did it first or more often as if that excuses inexcusiable behavior.
I've never seen anything quite like it.

Use the freaking google machine and read the memos about the briefings. Or at least the single one that the administration will release. And if there was nothing then why was the summit 2 months earlier protected with missile batteries?

No but pages upon pages of people saying the marathon bombings were an FBI fuck up and Holder should be fired for it is completely reasonable.

I guess I will just now become one of the sheep. Obama is the devil. Democrats are evil. Eric Holder is killing Americans every chance he gets. Everything in our nation was just fine and fucking dandy until January 20, 2009. Then the United States was destroyed in a matter of minutes.

Is that better for ya?

No. I would buy what your're saying if they didn't release the photos to the public. Why would they do that if they actually had him and just wanted to montior his movements to get the rest of this cell? They released it cuz they didn't know his name or location. If they did, they would have had a man on him at all times. He wouldn't have been able to car jack a vehicle and load bombs into that vehicle. When he went to the 7-11 and shot that cop, 10 FBI cars would have swarmed on him if it's true what you're saying. That didn't happen. So it's proof they weren't even thinking of him. Which is unacceptable.

Which memo said that they were going to hijack specific planes on 9/11/01 and their targets? That's what I would call specific actionable intelligence. "Bin laden determined to strike in america" can mean anything from a car bomb to a missile to what actually happened. That's not "specific actionable intel". If you show me something more specific I'm willing to listen.

People didn't buy the stories from monday and tuesday and wednesday. They were right. Those stories were wrong. They were way off. We still don't know anything about what really happened less than a week ago. People were mad. Hurt. They were guessing. That's nowhere near comparable to an event from 12 years ago that at this point we know almost every single detail about.
Even so, pages and pages of some speculation don't amount to the sheer amount of bullshit truther nonsense that's out there.
I still don't really see them as comparable.

No its not better. It actually comes off as crazy. No one here is saying anything about Obama, except to throw him some boquets over his handling of this, myself included in that number.
No one, no ine is saying "everything was fine... Until 1/20/09". That's only in your mind if you think that. No one has been saying dems are the devil. You sound like you're losing it. Seriosuly. I don't know where you're getting this crap. Stick to what we're really saying and talking about and forget about this fantasy world imaginary message board you're talking about.
