First half success has been a key to good seasons for the Sox in the past 10 years. I hate to see what the record will be like with a bad first half followed by the typical post ASG swoon.

Praying for a rainout so I don't have to sit through ANOTHER Gavin Fraud start while in attendance on Friday.

MOTHERFUCK

That would be 3 times this season I've seen the "losing pitcher" Gavin Floyd show. Goddam.

Sorry, Frank. Gavin Floyd didn't lose yesterday vs. the Twins. He got the dreaded no-decision. Ditto for Jake Peavy Saturday. Can't let quality starts go to waste.

He didn't pitch good enough to win, SHARK. He walked in a run for chrissakes!

That was his lone mistake. This loss yesterday is front & center on the bullpen and one of MLB's most offensive ballclubs. The stats are frightening!

I like that SHARK is giving his own opinion here. I'm not being sarcastic.

Thanks for the kind words, OKC. You don't have to be White Sox Radio Network's Chris Rongey to know how pathetic these White Sox are offensively. That Twins' team is nothing special.

Ventura has to take some of the blame too, SHARK. I like Robin, but its pretty clear he doesn't really know how to use anybody in that bullpen except for Reed.

SHARK, I am going to have to pull an Office Space inspired Bill Lumbergh and disagree with you there. When I read Rongey in the Daily Herald or listen to his post game shows, he a is a big time Sox apologist. I doubt he realizes that the Sox offense is pathetic.

As a side note, I listened to the radio broadcast yesterday. Farmer and DJ are still really bad. DJ needs to stop with the sing songy, "We've got some work to do". Hawk and Stone are better this year albeit off a low starting point.

Frank, it can't continue much longer. In fact, RV's in a really tough spot with Adam Dunn. Yeah, he homered yesterday, but 3 more K's for the "Strikeout Machine" DH-ing yesterday, including one that ended the 5-3 loss vs. Minnesota's Glen Perkins in the 9th inning.

Dunn is currently in a 1-for-33 slump, and just like 2 years ago when Ozzie was still filling out the lineup card, RV needs to do something with his slumping 1B/DH. If it means benching Dunn for a game or two or moving him down in the order, so be it. Part of the problem is that Dunn's earning a lot of $$$$ and there's no easy solution. What's even more frightening about Dunn is that he has 3 walks all season. 3 WALKS! That's even harder to swallow than all the K's Dunn continues to swing & miss. Unfortunately, Dunn isn't the only issue.

SHARK, i said nothing about the offense. Ventura's mismanagement of the bullpen has nothing to do with Adam Dunn.

Rongey mentioned some very disturbing offensive stats during the disasterous White Sox road trip in Washington during one of his postgame shows. They're not walking. They're rotten with runners in scoring position. Jeff Keppinger's on-base percentage is lower than his .153 BA starting the night and is currently in an 0-for-24 slump despite 2 RBI's in the 5-3 loss vs. Minnesota yesterday.

The Ranger must be off the Kool-Aid. SHARK, would you mind creating an avatar to your profile? Just about everyone else has an avatar, and it is often something funny or interesting. Sometimes, it just reflects things they're interested in. I'd like to see you express yourself, in keeping with my previous Office Space reference- flair is you will. Wear it!

They can't be too big. I've tried to create such an Avatar, but haven't been successful.

I have found several easy to use Internet based photo editors. You put in tremendous effort in your role as reporter of facts. I am sure you could find ten minutes to cut the picture down to size. I, for one, would appreciate the effort. It'd be like the Dalai Lama appreciating Bill Murray's effort. You'd probably earn the same reward.

SHARK, why don't you just post a picture somewhere here or PM it to someone?
I'm certain one of these internets Michelangelos could shrink it to the appropriate size in approximately 30 seconds.

It's been done before.

I gave him a Shark Boy avatar last year.

He spurned my advances.

Another nice outing from Axelrod. It would be nice if the offense could put a couple more runs on the board and take some pressure off the bullpen but that's probably not going to happen.

Possibly better than Dunn if he actually got some AB's. He has had damn near the same offensive production in an entire 4 games.
