The best current rivalry in all of sports resumes tonight when the Hawks take on the shitfuck stains of Vancouver. We can clinch the President's Trophy with a win and a Pittsburgh loss tonight. Sharp traveled with the team even though he's out tonight. Looks like he'll be in next game vs Edmonton. Crawford is in net tonight and it's a big game for him because it feels like he's losing his grip on the starting job in the playoffs and that Q is doing everything he can to give him a chance to take control of it. I think Schneider is net for Vancouver while our favorite shit bag, Bieska, is out with an injury.

Lets just get out with no injuries. Neither team has much to play for so I could totally see someone gooning it up. These guys certainly remember the Keith elbow last season on D.Sedin before the playoffs. Stay healthy and bury these divas.

It's a testament to the dominance of the Blackhawks that for tonight's installment of The Best Current Rivalry In Sports, I couldn't be arsed to make a gameday thread all day. The Canucks are trying to lock up the Northworst Division (RIP) tonight, so I wouldn't look for them to goon it up to any counterproductive levels. They'll just stay at their baseline goonery.

EIGHTHWATCH '13

Columbus: 32.3%
Detroit: 25.9%
Minnesota: 20.5%
Dallas: 15.0%
Phoenix: 4.2%
San Jose: 1.3%
St. Louis: 1%

Why hello there Minnesota Wild glad to see you're limping to the finish line as always. I still have a feeling two teams on the outside make it in and bump Minnesota out. #7 Detroit, #8 Columbus?

Detroit's up 2 on Phoenix with 5 left in the second frame. If they hold on in regulation, that'll bump the Wings up hard and just might end it all for the Yotes. We should know before puckdrop in Vancouver.

Bring up Beach for the final game of the year at St. Louis. The reasoning is twofold:

1) The Hawks can sidestep the ignominy of having one of only four 2008 first-rounders with zero NHL games.

2) Someone's is gonna have to punch the shit out of those shitbirds before the year is done. Might as well be someone useless.

Goddammit :x :x :x

Not so much the goal, but I have a baaaaaad feeling that we're not gonna get out of this game without more than just Bolland not finishing it.

Bolland is already blown up??

I only have the ice tracker on but it looks like they are going after Kaner as I have already seen a few hits on him.

Bolland and Kruger have not returned from the dressing room.

PK or no PK, Frolik can go ahead and join them.

Every time the Sedin bros pictures pop up on the ice tracker I immediately think of the Mcpoyle brothers.

"I haven't seen Saad this whole period" - Eddie

He's been on the Kane line all period you dick shit.

The Canucks are getting away with some serious interference. They're cutting off and taking guys out nowhere near the puck.

First time this season I've been dissapointed with this team. Just getting destroyed all over the ice and taking it like a bunch of bitches. I don't know if I can watch anymore of this raping.

Wings-Yotes were on Versus or NBC Sports Channel or whatever earlier.

Detroit shut out Phoenix, 4-0. Red Wings made it look effortless (thanks in part to a lot of PP minutes), but they are still sitting outside the playoffs by a point. Tho with a game in hand vs Columbus, it's likely the Red Wings take the 8th seed.

Hawks would probably rather Columbus in the 1st round than Detroit.

Yeah, but Columbus has THE HOT GOALIE, and we all know how THE HOT GOALIE usually does in first rounds. I'd like to have the Stars, who are as mediocre as they come.

I think that Detroit is a better match up than Columbus. Both teams have played the Hawks close but Columbus has the hottest goalie this season and they like to play a physical game where as Detroit will try to match the Hawks skill for skill. I don't see any team in the Western Conference that can take the Hawks out in 7 by trying to out skill them.

Turned it off midway through the 2nd after the 8th time a defensemen just blindly whipped it around the boards to the stationary Hawk outside the blue line which was easily picked up just past the half boards by the Canucks.

They put the not interested sign up early which is fine. Means nothing. We'll see these fuckers in a few weeks in games of much more significance.
