That's fair. I tend to generalize when I see the obnoxious, crazy fans, but the same can be said for the Sox.

Thought. Process.

Actually in the case of amateur baseball scouting is the boss and Hawk and Stone are 100% right. In some case you may have complete SABR data but rarely I think. Mostly you will have coaches stats from HS games or who the hell knows from the other parts of the world. SABR works in minors and majors when you have reliable data over some time to process. Garbage in = garbage out in a lot of amateur areas.

I think that's one of the reasons that the modern i.e. analytical GMs prefer college players. Besides likely being more polished and closer to the big leagues, the data on them is more reliable.

Stone's lack of character was easily displayed the other day. He acts all chummy with these guys when he's working for them, but as soon as he's off he has no problem standing there as his broadcast partner rips them to shreds... not only that, he puts in a shot at them. Some of you have said he's always been smarmy... smarminess is one thing, but this is just a guy acting like an ass.

He was never chummy with those guys. He was getting paid. B&b are just as quick to slam someone they no longer have to deal with. They used to hate Hub. Remember that? It's all bullshit.

I have to say there aren't too many guys in Chicago media who actually like dan or Terry. And I don't really think they like each other.

How do you think other fanbases would have reacted?

I tend to think ruining a guy's life for reaching for a foul ball is an overreaction.

Not as hostile. The culture around the team turns a lot of them into massive pricks.

State never got into that UC deal. Wonder why?

It wouldn't have happened in St. Louis where the best fans in baseball know enough to give their own players enough room to make those catches.

I don't think those two hillbillies are indicative of the White Sox fanbase. That was two guys, father and son, who may or may not have been fans. This was a stadium full of fans acting like jackasses and treating a guy like a leper because he reached for a damn foul ball.

I think some would have been just as hostile if not worse. Philly for example.

Guy got shot at 7-11 next to Wrigley Sunday night

Shooter had a tattoo on his face....thus easy to identify him

Guess what the face tatoo was/is?

You're Scoreheading here Joe. But you are 100% correct.

I think dolphin is mixing up the Ligues with Eric Dybas. He's the goof who was the Cub fan and pulled the doubleheader.
