Well in the hell happened in this game?

I was driving home from an appointment earlier listening to a sports radio program and they said the Nets were up by 10+ with just a couple mins left. I forgot about this one and figured it was a 2-2 series. I get home and the Bulls are up in the 3rd OT!?!?!?

Nate put on the Superman cape in the 4th. It was truly one of the greatest games I've ever watched.

Damn! Like a Reggie Miller vs. the Knicks type deal?

I must find the highlights of this one...

Yes. He went on a 12-0 run in the fourth. Scored 23 fourth quarter points. Shot after shot, man. He continued into the first overtime. Then Joe Johnson started hitting big buckets and it was just tit for tat till the third OT.

no. like a derrick rose in the prime he hasnt got to yet type of game. nate rob looked like the best player in the league. he was unguardable.. he literally -and i am not exaggerating- jumped from the 3 point line and finger rolled it off the backboard and in. he played 7 feet tall today. it was insane.

I have no idea how Kirk didn't foul out. I also don't expect him to play next game. Dude looked like he pulled his hammy or groin. Really couldn't run in the overtimes. Noah goes over his minutes limit by at least 10. Hope this wasn't that hated Pyhrric victory.

I love Kirk. He may not give you consistency from game to game but when it matters most he shows up. I wish he had been around a couple years ago. All heart. You can't help but root for many of these Bulls players.

I just wish Kirk could hit a shot every now and then.

He did. He was the leading scorer for a while.

This was the game he hit shots. 7 of 8 halfway through the 4th. What he does real wells is defend and set up the offense. If he isn't on the court, the offense as a whole is just bad.

Honestly, there's a part of me that would still rather have him than Kirk, but I'm really-anti Kirk.

Easily their best defensive guard. He locks down some really good players. He's not getting the cheap foul calls he got earlier in his career either.

It's true. I personally still love Derrick, but a couple years ago, he was given all the credit for the Bulls buying into Thibs style. Truth is it was a combination of things, including guys like Noah, Deng, Gibson, etc.

Noah and Deng specifically. It's been said before but it's just amazing how much those two have grown under Thibs. Hard to believe those are the same guys who had reputations of being uncommitted and soft, respectively. Hell, I remember when Deng seemingly hid from the ball during big possessions.

dont give thibs credit for something those guys were born with. theyre both in the league because they are fighters. noah and deng just happend to get man bodies about 2 years ago, and they dont have to get pushed around anymore.

Yep. When they drafted Noah, I was so pissed. And then came his rookie year with that douche Ben Wallace. I never would have imagined how much Noah would pan out. His jump shot alone is proof of how seriously he takes his game and how hard he works now.

+1. For me, it doesn't get any better than NBA playoffs. And it KILLS me to agree with Bernstein.

I was never upset. He choked in the Philadelphia series repeatedly and he gave the ball to Asik when the game was on the line. He also choked at the end of game 2 of this series. He plays against Nate like he has a chip on his shoulder, but CJ's missed dunk was one of the plays that helped the Bulls get back in the game.

Exactly the same for me. I hate the pick when they made it. I thought he would be a clown and a sideshow that never took the game seriously. Man how wrong I was. He has turned into one of my favorite players and I love to see how he has improved.

Wish I was wrong, but I don't think so. From the trib...

Kirk Hinrich drew his fifth foul with 5 minutes, 39 seconds left in regulation Saturday.

He never came out again, avoided his sixth and tied John Salmons' franchise playoff record with 59:36 of playing time.

"It was pretty grueling," Hinrich said with typical understatement.

His extensive workload came on a left calf muscle sore enough that he needed a postgame MRI. Results weren't immediately available, but Hinrich said the injury "is pretty bad."

Given his grittiness, Hinrich will play in Game 5 on Monday if at all possible. His 18 points and 14 assists marked his first playoff double-double since May 2007, and his assists tied the franchise playoff mark shared by Michael Jordan and Sam Vincent.
