For real...

Shit, even Boozer has more heart than Rose at this point. This team isn't that good, but they're warriors.

Just cant stand guys sitting on the bench yelling at guys ont he floor and what to do, like they have super Bball IQ.

Considering Reggie Rose &Co shit on the Chicago media, why not start asking him if he plans to play at the start of next season?

All said, not giving Nate Dog another deal....unless next time he calls board!!!!

I'm on board. See if you can get a draft pick or something for Rose. We all remember how the Jay Williams thing turned out. Get value while you can and rebuild around Nate, Buckets, and Noah.

Yeah, as Thibs just mentioned, he did coach him in Boston. He just has a way of getting guys to play hard for him.

Nate can light it up like today,he can also look like a guy you signed off a playground. He would make a great 6th man though.

hes got better all year long though. this is finally the team he needed. what you saw today was a culmination of all the effort put into him, trying to teach him how to play like he does but with control. its working, why would you not try to continue that?

i dont think nate rob will be a starter, hes too short.. but the best 6th man in the league? hell yes.

This is the third consecutive year in which the Bulls rely on short-term, journeyman free agents to produce at the end of games when Rose is out. Earlier it was Watson doing iso plays when Rose fouled out or was injured, because Deng sucks at dribbling and you had no other creator.

This year, the iso role has alternated between Bellini and Robinson, two useful players who were brought in to meet roster requirements as opposed to win a championship.

When is GarPax going to make this whole non-Rose creator/isolation skills player a fixture on the roster? It says a lot about your "core players" when the only guys who can save your ass at the end of games are bench guys who don't fit into the long-term picture.

I don't see Nate coming back with the Bulls. The Heat will probably beat the Bulls in the next round. But the thing about Nate Robinson is that he's not scared like a lot of these other guys are when they play against the Heat. Not being afraid of the moment and playing team ball is the way upsets happen. I'm not saying it will happen, but who could have predicted he'd drop 23 points in the 4th quarter in the playoffs?

Coach Thibodeau getting the most out of Coach Rose:

Image

Quote:
During Game 3 on Thursday night, Rose sat next to Taj Gibson and Outside Shot asked Gibson for some insight on the things that Rose is saying while sitting on the bench with his team.

“He just talks about basketball. Simple stuff,” said Gibson. “He’s yelling plays out. He knows everything and he calls it out to us on the court. He’s really into telling guys to pick it up on offense and defense. He’s just like an extra set of eyes out there and talking to us from a point guard’s point of view.”

After sitting stoically on the bench in Game 1, Rose has been much more animated and involved in Games 2 and 3. So much so that Gibson has even given the superstar guard a nickname.

I call him Coach Rose because he has that suit on and I’ll ask him, ‘Coach Rose, what we got? What we running?

DRose is back next round, from game 1 tip-off on--he has to at this point. Doesn't he?

Quote:
The Bulls appear to want Rose back just as badly. Earlier in the series, Thibodeau brought up the example of the 1997-98 season, when he was an assistant coach with the Knicks and Patrick Ewing missed the last four months of the season because of a wrist injury. Ewing returned for a second-round playoff series against Indiana.

Another Knick, Iman Shumpert, also offers some measure of hope — or frustration — for those wishing to see Rose in uniform. Shumpert tore his A.C.L. on the same day as Rose, but he returned to game action this January and has helped the Knicks to a 2-0 lead over the Boston Celtics in their first-round playoff series.

As Rose continues to come under fire, his toughness questioned by the same fans who once adored him, his visibility on the bench can be seen through two different prisms. Thibodeau said Rose had taken well to his role as a cheerleader and coach. But as Rose jumped up and down on the sidelines during a run by the Bulls in Game 2, it also served as a reminder of what could be if he were in sneakers instead of loafers.

“We are only one thing,” said guard Marco Belinelli, praising Rose’s presence on the bench. “We are a group; we are all together.”

Then, as if anyone might have forgotten, Belinelli added, “He’s still on the team.”

I don't think he'd play if the Bulls made the NBA Finals. The Bulls management probably doesn't want him out there trying to play without having played at all in the regular season. Honestly I don't want him to play either because you can't just throw him on the floor now when he hasn't played with this team all season. He needs to work himself back into shape with 10 to 20 minute games before he can go 40 minutes.

My question is why can all these other players come back in less than a year and he can't? Our first clue he wasn't coming back was when he said he had to be 100 percent? Nobody coming back from a knee injury is 100 percent in the first year. The guys who have had it in the NBA said it took two years after they first had the injury.

that would fly in the face of everything rose has said. he is practicing full pace, full contact. sure, its not real gameplay, but he thinks he can come back 110%, no rust at all. thats the entire reason he is sitting out, so he can come back perfect.

he wont. i get what youre saying... but at this point i dont think the bulls care. hes not making his chances of re-injury any worse by playing. he needs to play. he is getting paid.
