You gotta be fuckin kidding me. This may be the ugliest inning of (so called) professional baseball I've ever seen.

For those of you who call Hawk a homer, you must not have heard the 3-4 minute rant he went out last nite about how bad this team is playing. Missing cutoff men, not hitting with RISP, not fielding, bad bullpen, etc. He ripped the team pretty good and deservedly so.

"You know Stony, we have a 10-14 record and that is the record we should have. We've played like a 10-14 ballclub to this point."

Hawk lives and dies with the Sox and his sentiments last nite echo my feelings on the club for sure. Its hard to write a team off on May 2nd and I don't want to go all Kid Cairo on everybody, but there isn't a lot to get a excited about with this ballclub. Gillespie, Peavy, and Reed have been the only ones that have done well all season.

It'll be at least 2 hours or so before the lineup for Game 2 of this series is revealed. Dewayne Wise, not Jordan Danks, played CF for the White Sox after it was learned Jordan suffered inflammation in the bursa behind his right knee. Wise went 4 for 4 last night with a 2 run homer in last night's 10-6 loss to the Rangers and might be there again tonight vs. right hander Nick Tepesch in Game 2 of this 3 game series. Could Jordan be DL-bound?

Also, 2B Jeff Keppinger's back is said to be feeling much better. He could be back in RV's lineup as soon as tonight.

The SCORE's Laurence Holmes won't be thrilled with this news. Reliever Donnie Veal has been optioned to Triple "A" Charlotte, while right-handed reliever Brian Omogrosso is back with the big club, says the Trib's Mark Gonzales' Twitter.
