I have a solution for this. Send me the $50 instead, I'll get you an official diagnosis for insanity and we can all move on with our lives.

One game into the playoffs and already Pierre McGuire is getting shat on

Mike Commodore ‏@commie22: That's it. I want to watch, but I can't take it any longer. Pierre McGuire ruins it for me. Too much useless info and ball sucking.

Are the goalies or D for the low seeds in the Eastern Conference really this bad?? Boston and the Pens have put up 9 goals between the 2 of them and its still the 2nd period in each game.

Red Wings and Blue Jackets are going to find it a lot easier to make the playoffs over in the Eastern conference, even with the larger number of teams over in the Eastern conference.

I'd like to change my Leafs in 6 pick to Bruins in 4. Thank you.

Tough to judge since they didn't play, but just from watching and looking at rosters it's pretty apparent the West as a whole is significantly stronger.

The Wild would beat the Islanders comfortably in a series I'd bet.

Delicious watching Vancouver losing last night. Wasn't Luongo's fault at all, but the media trainwreck about to occur in British Columbia is going to be a delight.

As a whole I would say stronger, but the top 2-3 teams in the east are about as good as the top 3 in the west.

I think Montreal is going to have a really strong run.

This Ottawa/Montreal first period has been good. Local boy Craig Anderson looks pretty good between the pipes for the Sens. I still think the Habs have more firepower, but it will be tighter than I originally thought.

Also, thanks to an all Canadian series, we are just getting the CBC simulcast, eh.

Hope my beloved Bruin make it all the way. Would love a Hawks / Bruins final. I think that would be bad for the Hawks but a win win for me as it wouldnt matter who won , Id be happy with either.

My cousin is a huge Bruins fan. I enjoy all of the original 6, but if the Hawks don't go, it's all Montreal for me. My fiance is a Red Wings fan...sigh.

Kings up on Blues, 1-0 after 1 period, Blue lead series 1-0.

Red Wings taking it to Anaheim a bit, 3-0 Detroit in the middle of the 2nd period out in Anaheim, Ducks up 1-0 in the series.

Kings-Blues tied up 1-1 with 2 minutes to go in regulation...more OT hockey on the way?

Red Wings up 3-1 on the Ducks, 2nd intermission.

Giving up a wrister to Barret Jackman is even more embarrassing than that behind-the-net business. Kings cough up both St. Louis games.

Just saw the Wings converted two power plays on four attempts and five shots on goal. They're rolling now, huh.

Wow, heartbreaker for the Kings tonight.

Wings seem to have the Ducks number this season the way the Sharks own the Canucks.

Long way to go in both series, and the Kings get to go back home and maybe extend that series.

I can see both of these series going the distance. I think the Kings are everything the Blues are but better. They can tie this thing back up.

Ducks-Wings game is getting good. 4-3 Wings after Ducks net a goal just as their PP expires.

Both teams skating like it's 4 on 4 all of a sudden.

Detroit converts their 3rd PP goal of the game? Red Wings win it 5-4, about a minute into OT.

Tough loss for the Ducks. After coming all the way back from 1-4 down.

I never in my life would have thought of saying anything good about Raffi Torres, but he stuck it to the 'Nucks last night :D

Thanks, Raffi!

Now, fuck off and die...

   Vancouver getting their asses kicked again. Must be nice to have a goalie making what , 7 million a year and you can't start him on the road in the playoffs. Fucking Kesler is a douchestain fucking hack, would love to see him get his worthless pussy ass kicked . Henrik Sedin just took a cheap shot high sticking penalty too. Love seeing these vaginas lose big.

I don't think the Vancouver window-closing situation is as dire as people are making it out to be. I mean, it is closing. That much is incontrovertibly true. But the Sedins will be able to play at a high level for years, Vancouver is still a destination for free agents (the only Canadian UFA destination), and they have a few pieces in the system that are pretty promising. I like what I see from Jordan Schroeder, for instance. So while they may have to cycle a few pieces out, they can still stay in the conversation. Boy, they really sucked it up this year, though. I wanted one more year of Hawks-Canucks before realignment comes and dooms us to year after year of postseasons with the Avs and Wild. We'll always have the memories.

I had them sweeping the Sharks after the Sharks took such a nosedive during the regular season. Guess I don't know shit from shinola.

So far so good other than the wonderful meltdown in British Columbia. I'll happily take that one on the chin though.

Was right there with you. In hindsight should have taken Vancouver's offensive struggles a lot more seriously.
