1) Both teams are built around star PGs, although Rose is better and a bit younger
2) Both teams feature overpaid, glorified role players in Joe Johnson and Carlos Boozer, both of whom cripple each team's cap flexibility and have zero trade value
3) Both teams feature decent talent at center in Lopez and Noah, and these players are also each team's most attractive trade asset
4) Finally, both teams have team-first, hustle small forwards with obvious offensive limitations

Deron isn't in Rose's(a healthy, mentally ready Rose, I guess) league as a star PG.
Boozer's contract is awful but it's 10x better than Joe's.
Gerald Wallace is basically garbage now. Deng is an All Star. I dont think they are comparable anymore. Maybe 5 years ago.
Brook Lopez is a bitch, Noah is a beast. Huge difference

Five years ago, Gerald Wallace was actually better than Deng. Both are now in decline, but Wallace is declining at a faster rate.

Guys, if the Knicks piss away their series with the Celtics, guess what? The folks in New York will mention Carmelo Anthony in the same breath with Patrick Ewing for many years. They'll point the finger at Carmelo for their demise, and he'll be labeled there as a loser, just like Patrick.

As for the Bulls, history is NOT on their side for Game 7. They're 0-6 lifetime away from home, and they've pissed away any chance of winning this series by last night's Game 6 loss to the Nets. I think the Bulls' season ends tomorrow.

I did say Rose was better, so we are in agreement here. Boozer's contract is relatively better than Johnson's, but my point was to say that both have zero trade value, even if Boozer's contract is less onerous. I'll agree with you on Wallace vs Deng, but I think Wallace was still useful even two years ago, but in general you're right. I'm not a fan of Lopez either, but I assume GMs would go after him before Noah only because Lopez can score.

Stacey King was saying that Noah looked healthy. But I don't think so because he lost the final jump ball to a point guard.

I wonder why David Stern was in Chicago for the game. That just makes it seem like the games are fixed with the officials. I'm not saying the Bulls win if Boozer and Gibson don't foul out. But there were some ridiculous calls out there against those two.

In this game tonight I think the Bulls are likely to lose again if Deng and Hinrich are both out. The Bulls' effort in the previous road games has not been good other than game 2. Nate Robinson is getting absolutely torched on defense. Jimmy Butler probably has to play Williams from the tap, but if you don't have Deng who do you play on Joe Johnson?
