I've said that Frolik needs to be cycled out at the end of the year for a cost-controlled alternative and a draft pick, and I'm sticking to it. In the meantime, get the most from him.

Some quick takes:

Kane looked great, as did Sharp. Gotta see more from Toews pretty soon, though. Seabrook had a brainfart; what else is new. I'm so glad Q kept Rozsival's legs fresh over the season to make the most of him when it counts. When he's your #6D, that's great.

Parise had a good game. Brodin looked more like a rookie tonight than he probably has all year. Mikko Koivu is shitting up the joint in this series. If he's not invisible, he's visibly bad. Harding continues to perform quite admirably.

Well, the Isles were going to get a game. I'm just surprised the win was powered by Moulson and Okposo more than Tavares. Neither one is a slouch, but Tavares is going to singlehandedly win them a game in this series. Pens still got this in six, though.


No goals, no assists, three minor penalties, -3 on the ice, 6/13 on the draw. This guy has been a pain in the ass on inconsequential December-February nights for years now. How gratifying it is to see him finally get his big moment in the sun and just totally lay an egg.
