Bustin' out the 'Mats as we take the series to St. Paul.

Pominvile and Backstrom still out, Bolland and Emery still out, Mikko Koivu probably still a useless putz.

Hawks lost their only game on Minnesota ice in the shootout. Gotta remember that they're the best road team in the league and not get bogged down in line-matching against a team whose depth can't compare. Unless, I don't know, you think there's something to be said for Torrey Mitchell and Zenon Konopka.

Wild will surely come out ENERGIZED~! to start things off, best to wait things out, probably. Also, when Ryan Suter is on the ice in his own end, cycle cycle cycle and don't let him get off the ice. Make him work, run up his clock, run down his legs.

Strader and Engblom are calling the game on Long Island today, so I smell the distinct odor of rotting pedantry that IS Doc Emrick and Pierre McGuire.

Doc is a dope. He gets way too excited for routine shots.

Wild get away with 2 blatant interference plays and then get the first PP of the game. Unreal.

Not impressed with the Hawks thus far, but like I said, probably rope-a-doping a little.

That was one of the easiest goals I have ever seen in playoff hockey. Frolik would have shot that over the glass...

Great period by Crawford, he looks really focused today. The Wild came out with a sense of urgency.

This really shouldn't be 1-1 but we haven't help Crawford all that much.

That was a horseshit penalty, yes. I prefer to think of it as a mercy killing for that horrible power play.

JESUS CHRIST WILL THEY EVER PLAY OFFENSE AGAIN

Boy, this is grim. The only positive I can possibly take from this game thus far is that Minnesota went balls to the wall for forty minutes and has expended themselves. They've especially erased our first line. And faceoffs, hoo boy. I tempted fate with that one last Koivu jab, didn't I.
