Not every coach but a lot could win with that team.

How awesome is Jimmy Butler? My god. 21 & 13, playing GREAT D on both LeBron & Wade, for the entire game. Ridiculous.

Well, duh. Obviously Phil would. I'm talking other coaches in the league right now.

Let's give Thibs credit for benching Boozer who had that deer in the headlights thing going on tonight.

Not Taj.

He was ready.

Yep. I was so happy he glued Boozer's ass to the pine. Boozer was awful, and was killing us. Unless Boozer is absolutely beasting on offense, he's a net minus.

Taj was due and he got the job done. You're right on Boozer. When he sucks, he's awful.

That's not a coincidence.

Avery Johnson won in Dallas, so I think he would have had a great chance. Brown took bad Cavs teams to the Finals with Lebron, so I like his chances with #6, #3, and the gay looking alien.

Well, I'd say he always sucks at half the game. His only advantages are being a good rebounder, and making tough fadeaways. If those fadeaways drop, you can deal with the idiotic offensive fouls, the utter failure on defense, the dumb plays. He'll be a positive, albeit, generally a slight one. But if he's not filthy on that fadeaway, he just kills you.

Carlisle won that championship with the Mavs.

The Bulls played a great game. They won the rebounding battle, they shot a higher percentage and they attempted more free throws. If they play like this in game two and are able to limit the turnovers they could steal game two. What was pretty amazing is that Miami's Big Three did not even score 50 points.

A special shoutout goes to the officials. Sure they let some stuff go and missed some calls, but I thought overall they didn't give too many ridiculous star calls in the game.

If you remember the series that the Bulls played against Miami two years ago Gibson and Asik would play almost the entire 4th quarter in those games. I think if Boozer is not producing in the 4th Gibson will be on the court too.

What I like about Butler is that he has those young legs. I wonder if Deng plays in the next game if he will be taking James.

Great call. On RealGM, a lot of posters were claiming that the refs were out to help Miami, but that's shit. The refs let them play, and it was generally pretty even. I'd actually say that reffing performance was close to my ideal.

I hope they keep Butler on James if Deng comes back. Deng's a great defender, but I think Butler has proved he's even better. That may sound crazy, but seriously, Butler is just a ridiculous defender. That's what makes his performance so incredible: he put up nice offensive numbers, while simultaneously playing elite defense. I truly believe he might have been the best player tonight. He was that good.

Unbelievable win. I watched the game with a lot of Bulls fans and all of us could not believe they won this game. Great effort.

Now the question: what do you do with Nate next year? Is somebody gonna give him big money?

Sadly, someone will probably pay him too much. I still hope they Bulls find a way to keep him, but it may be tough.

Ideally Nate would be a great 6th man to come in at the end of a game and in a backup role in the early quarters. His defense leaves a lot to be desired, but he is absolutely fearless.

Realistically the Bulls probably will not resign him. I doubt they would go into the luxury tax to give him a solid deal.

I was at my daughters softball practice tonight and one of the dads says the Bulls are winning with just a few seconds left. I thought he was just screwing with me since he knew I was a Bulls fan. Glad to see he wasn't joking around. Sounds like a great effort and game.

They wouldn't go into the luxury tax to sign Asik so I doubt they'll do it for Nate.

One last thing on Jimmy. He went head-to-head with with LeBron, and had 21-14-3. James had 24-8-7. He basically played James to a draw. Think about that.

One great thing about this year has been the increased PT for Butler. I give Paxson a lot of shit, deservedly, but Butler looks like a solid pick.

It's funny that, just several weeks ago, it was questionable whether they'd go ahead and start Butler. That looks like a joke now. Huge draft steal. One thing the Bulls clearly do well is the draft.

And I was absolutely on the wrong side of the Noah draft pick. Thought it was a terrible pick. Whoops. They still need to land a big free agent.

Butler is able to keep his point totals up by getting to the free throw line and he's an excellent free throw shooter. Most of the big scorers in the NBA get a lot of points from the line, so he has that going for him.

The reason why Butler gives James problems is because while he may be an inch or two shorter and maybe a little weaker in his upper body he is fast enough to stay in front of James. I actually think that Butler played much better on James than even Deng has done in previous games.

I get the impression that Wade is not 100 percent and that definitely helps the Bulls.

I can't say without another win or two that the Bulls can win this series, but this win has a real team feel to it. Even though Nate is not afraid to shoot at the end, it still doesn't feel like it did with Derrick Rose trying to win the game by himself.
