Murton and Jones for Dye.
Murph prefaced this trade proposal by talking about what Murton "can't do" and we all know how much Murph loves "The Loser".
And then he brings up the trade.
Reason, this is what ticks me off about Murph.
As a Sox fan, I have no time for Cubbie-Kool-Aid banter like this. It's a totally subjective thought. Murph belongs on WGN with ideas like this.
What would Murph do if someone proposed a Posednik-Uribe trade for The Riot and DeRosa?

Sorry, I was not able to listen today. I don't comment on shows I don't listen to. :D
But hey, I never claimed Murph was a genius.

I never said you called him a genius.
I'm just providing reasons for my past claims about my dislikes about his show.

I bet the Cubs would throw in a M.Barrett bobble head in that deal.

There was some talk that the White Sox were interested in Jacque Jones when all the trade talk was going on before presumably because he's under contract for 2008 at only $5 million a season - basically a veteran player who could hit 25 home runs, and not be paid much.

I don't want Jacque Jones because he's a poor defensive hitter, and extremely streaky at the plate.

I also don't get the love for Matt Murton and Ronny Cedeno, and some of these talks (don't know that they are rumors, probably moreso talk) about the Sox trading for one or both of these guys. I don't see the upside on either.

Your past claims are well documented. No need for a daily briefing for my sake.

My quest was not for why you disliked the show. It was why you would you listen to a host and show that did nothing but aggravate you. You never had a good comment about Murph and you called me a Murph guard-dog. I found that odd and was curious as to why you would continue to listen.
I was relieved to find, you did like some of the show. But you also find Murph to be a petulant, short-fused gasbag, prone to Cub Chubs that occasionally cloud his reason and hijack the show. I tend to agree. It just doesn't bother me as much as it does you and others, especially the Cub Chub part. You have to admit, some of the Murph bashing goes over the top. My problem is with those who have personal agendas and don't even listen to the show. I find it fascinating when someone has such dislike for people that do not directly affect their lives. I have asked the same question of some of the North bashers in the past. Just a little game I play for my own amusement. Pals?

I don't mind most of Murphy's baseball talk. As long as he doesn't reach for some angle, I find his talk to be pretty good. If he's talking other sports, I really don't want to hear it because quite frankly, he doesn't know what he's talking about. So, in summary, if he's talking baseball, which he usually does, I think his show is fine. Anything else, no thanks.

How did you know that "Pals" was the Secret Word?
I was never "upset" with you -- or with anyone else on this board.
There are times when I strongly disagree with what is written here, but I never take it personally.
My job is pretty stressful, and this works well as a stress reliever.
