Just wait until Gordon Beckham comes back in the next 2-3 weeks. Right now, Conor Gillaspie has played well enough to actually stay in this offensively challenged lineup when Beckham returns. If Jeff Keppinger continues to scuffle at the plate, might he suddenly become a utility infielder after being the White Sox big FA signing in the offseason?

Not to be confused with the producers of "Tic Tac Dough", "The Joker's Wild" & "Twenty One" back in the day, Angels' pitcher Barry Enright, not Tommy Hansen, will start for Anaheim this eve. Hansen has been scratched from tonight's start vs. the White Sox due to family issues, says Angels' manager Mike Scioscia.

only the sox. So many options! Where to play them all?

I'll be fucking pissed if Gillaspie loses his job.

SHARK

No one should ever feel sorry for anyone from ESPN.

ESPN sucks.

SJ, it's not often that the White Sox get the "Sunday Night Baseball" treatment. Needless to say, this Angels/White Sox game wasn't what the big boys in Bristol, CT had in mind when the schedule came out.

It doesn't matter that ESPN is here. They are a bunch of assholes. No one should ever feel sympathy for them.

Paulie traded?

No.

Sorry. That's dumb.

It's not dumb at all. They could possibly get a prospect that has a chance to contribute at the major league level some day, while giving Konerko a chance to finish the year (and perhaps his career) with a team that would likely be fighting for a spot in the playoffs. At the same time they could save a couple million as Konerko's salary would be trimmed. For a team out of contention (currently in last place), it isn't dumb at all. It's smart management.

The number of errors and past balls are getting ridiculous. Pick up the fucking ball. This is near impossible to watch.

Hey McDickHead stop running on Josh Hamilton. He's thrown out 2 runners at home the last 2 games by half a fucking baseline.

Yet they lose yet another, wasting another quality start.

By a guy you said couldn't hack it as a full time starter.

There is no way that Sale keeps up this perfection for the rest of the season. When he falters, I will be right there to tell you motherfuckers about it.

Yup. I predict he cannot keep throwing 6-7 inning of perfect baseball every start.
When he gives up 5-6 hits in a game, we'll know he should have been shut down in september when he was needed most.

That's because he pitched ALMOST double the innings as the previous year. I know my math.

You do? Can you help steve understand the relationship between 5 and 2 that Pfrank keeps asking about?

Great outing by Sale but I'm still amazed he's able to pitch like this despite the fact that HIS VELOCITY HAS GONE DOWN THE LAST 2 YEARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Except I never said he couldn't hack it as a full time starter. I said he was going to go down with an injury this season though. Just as I said Peavy would do so, and he was scratched from 2 starts before his last start. Sale is their best player by far. It's a shame his team didn't protect his future better last season and that he toils for a last place team with a bleak future.

Yeah ya did. You said he should have been shut down. That pitching 200 innings was irrresponsible. Ergo, he can't be a full time starter. You didn't think he should be used for a full season. Don't backtrack.
Just about ever pitcher will be moved back a start or two.
Peavys injury was just back spasms. Nothing to do with his previous injuries. No dl time. You fail that one. You don't get to claim that as a win. You made the same prediction last year.
Didn't protect his future? What? He's been pretty fuckin good so far this year. Threw a 1 hitter today.

You are a joke. I said he should have been shut down last season to protect his future. Adding over 100 innings to the previous season's total was a poor idea. After having pitched 140-150 innings last year, it would be no problem to let him go a full season this year. But letting him go an additonal 120 innings over the previous years total was irresponsible. I never said that Peavy or Sale were going to have labrum tears or rupture their Ulnar Collateral Ligament and need Tommy John surgery. I said they would be injured due to overuse last season. Each is much more susceptible to a myriad injuries as a result. Peavy's missed starts are just the tip of the iceberg.

Also, funny how the guy that needs tommy john surgery wasn't one you cried about overuse.

Maybe, just maybe, you're full of shit.

If I were the Sox GM, I wouldn't have had any issue with Floyd's use last season. The increases in innings for him had been long before established and his injury was more along the lines of something that was inevitable. It was just a matter of when, not if. Plus, while Floyd has value, he's not in the same class as Sale. That's why a guy like Sale should have been protected to a greater degree than another pitcher like Flod, who is more of a #3 or #4 than a top of the rotation guy like Sale.

C'mon. "Flod's" best years may well be ahead of him.
