The Sharks have a lethal power play while the Hawks have an airtight penalty kill, so it's kind of an irresistible-force-immovable-object thing going on (though the other part of that lethal power play is that they're dogshit at even strength). I don't like the matchup either, but San Jose's depth sucks as much as ever compared to ours. I mean, if Minnesota could shut down our top guys, we can shut down theirs, and I think we're just a little too good to be beaten by the likes of Tommy Wingels, don't you?

Famous last words, but I'd prefer the Red Wings. If they win, they'll have done it in seven, and while there will always be a dialogue about whether rest means rust, I'll always err on the side of exhaustion.

Three of the four wins vs the Wild were by at least 3 goals. I'd say we played pretty well. Could we of been better though? Of course. Our PP stood out as the worst part of our game but it's sucked all year, it is what it is.

The only teams in the West I feel can beat the Hawks in a best of 7 are the Kings and the Canucks and the Canucks are gone. The Sharks just don't scare me. We're so much better than them at the sport of hockey that some serious shit would need to go wrong for us to be taken out by them and I'm not gonna stress over that. And like CH was saying, their depth isn't even on the same level as ours. If we play our game, we beat them, simple as that.

I'm sorry, the name "Tommy Wingels" is just funny. It sounds like the name of the chubby kid down the street who thinks he's a badass but really isn't at all.
