Isn't this just Murph and Fred, with Mike replacing Murph? and about $1 million more in salary?

On a bottom line analysis, I think Murph got better ratings. (Certainly, he beat Mike and Mike.)

On a format-versus-format comparison, Murph did more of a drive-in style format, where there was more consideration for news, financial segments. Murph tried to take calls; North does interviews.

I just figured out why I like Murph. He talks TO me on his show, whereas on other shows like B and B, you're expected to be entertained while they are being dumbasses.

He must have agreed with your position.

Its much different. Murph is prepared and it shows. Mike is never prepared and it shows. Mike lives off of his "confrontation" style of interviews. "Mike asks the tough qquestions" is what most say and I would agree that Mike asks questions that others wont but its the other questions that sets Mike apart from others.

"Whats your favorite video game?"

"Whats your favorite dinner meal?"

"Whats your favorite DVD?"

etc
etc
etc

Mikes a lot of things but he's not a pro. He's a clown that some find entertaining. Say what you want about Murph, but on the air he's a pro.

I don't know if that makes him a pro.
Murph is organized and you can tell that he is prepared to fill the two hours that he has every day.
I don't call the way he cuts off some callers and guests professional. He can turn rather testy at times -- and I don't call that 'being a pro'.
