It will be interesting to see what the Bulls roster looks like next season. So far this is who is coming back: Boozer, Butler, Deng, Gibson, Hinrich, Noah and Rose.

I am still proud of how they played in the playoffs without Rose. Butler is the real deal. A healthy Deng and Rose and this team is going to have a real good year next year.

When has Deng been healthy? Butler is not the real deal....I don't think Rose is!!!!

I ain't arguing with you Walt. It won't matter what I say you already got it all figured out.

What in the hell is up with your avatar?

You and terry's peehole that is Al Jolson who sang the song Mammie. You are not arguing with me ,,,the only way rose wins a championship is if he plays with James...what do you think?

Play nice Walt.

The Bulls will be the champions of the National Basketball Association soon.

If there is any criticism of Thibodeau it has to be for not playing Hamilton in last Friday's game. The starters were totally gassed in that game. I would have liked to see more Marco tonight than 14 minutes, but I guess he made the decision to roll with Hamilton. They got 3 points from Noah and 3 points from Marco that was pretty bad. Also Boozer missed 5 free throws.

I don't understand why the Bulls had two timeouts at the end of the game and didn't take one to set up a play.

I concur. They far surpassed my expectations and this group did a lot to kill the "NBA players don't try" stereotype. These guys busted their asses all year.

I also congratulate the team on a solid year and an A+ effort from those who played. It will be a challenging offseason given their cap situation but I think they'll keep the core in place for next year.

Most disappointing guy who played has to be Taj. They kept him over Asik and at least for one year, not the right move.

Butler however certainly emerged as a starting caliber player for sure and looks to be a steady 13-15 PPG guy who plays defense.

Hopefully they can find another piece at 20 in the draft if not for next year but for years after and hopefully Teague emerges next year so Derricka doesn't have to risk driving to the hole and getting flattened.

I don't know about anyone else but I said months ago that Derrick Rose will have to leave Chicago to win a championship.

If Derrick wanted a championship this was probably his best shot considering OKC is not coming out of the West. I know the Heat looked unbeatable at times in this last series but that's only because the Bulls had problems running offense with Nate at the point.

You also said this team wasn't any good.

You will be proven wrong on both counts.

But we're still on for Friday.

at least there's a good chance that vinny is available this summer so the bulls can cash out the ridiculous $$$ paid to superskiles and get a coach in there who knows how to win...... at setting up immaculate hair. goddamn vinny's hair always was always is and always will be on point.

Derrick Rose averages 22 ppg. The Bulls lost two of the games by less than 22 points. If Derrick had been playing, the Bulls are currently up 3-2. :(

thats not exactly how it works, but the result is probably accurate. if we had rose and deng i think we had a real chance this year.

Thats not exactly true stat because you put in other players who take the same amount of shots and playing minutes as DR so the 22 point spread is made up by other players. Although other player might not make up the bulk of the 22 points the spread is smaller than u think.

Even if the Bulls just had Hinrich they probably win another game or two. The fact that Nate is so small and the Heat trap the pick and roll which is a problem for the Bulls.

This Bulls season and especially this playoff run shows that you can indeed have a successful season without winning a championship. The 2005 Bears, 2007 Cubs and 2008 White Sox also should be considered successful seasons.

It was a successful Bulls' season, Frank, because very little was expected without Derrick Martell Rose missing what turned out to be the entire 2012-13 season trying to recover from a torn ACL. Also, my own bar was not all that high to begin with. All I wanted was for this team, whether Rose was available or not, was to win their first round NBA Playoff series. That they did vs. a Brooklyn Nets' team that clearly was healthy, yet had a stuffy English professor-like interim HC in P.J. Carlesimo who needed to win to get the interim tag removed.

I think those teams' seasons were considered a success because it was thought that their performances sufficiently demonstrated potential for championships the next year. Not sure if they would have been considered successes if it was known that the teams would've been dissolved at the end of the season.

I will remember 4 games from this season.

1. Bulls snapping Miami's win streak.
2. Bulls coming back against the Nets with Nate Robinson going nuts.
3. Bulls beating the Nets in game 7 on the road with no Hinrich and no Deng.
4. Bulls beating the Heat in game 1 on the read with no Hinrich and no Deng.

What we did discover this season is that Jimmy Butler could replace Luol Deng.

That will be a huge question for EVP John Paxson & GM Gar Forman this summer. Even though he missed the Heat series due to a bizarre spinal tap and related illness, do the Bulls strongly consider a Luol Deng trade to get under the salary cap and to also prevent them from paying the dreaded luxury tax? I think Deng might be expendable thanks to the growth of Jimmy Butler, not just in these NBA Playoffs, but during the regular season, too.

He was on the all star team this year and he has led the league in minutes the last couple seasons.
