He used to play for the Bears many years ago before making the transition to broadcasting like so many before him. He's been a host on Sirius/XM Satellite Radio's NFL Channel, an analyst for his alma mater Michigan State on their radio network, a studio analyst for BOTH Comcast SportsNet Chicago on its "Bears Postgame Live" show & last year replaced Erik Kramer alongside veteran "NFL on FOX" play-by-play voice Sam Rosen & sideline reporter Lou Canellis down on the field on FOX32's preseason broadcasts via the team-produced Chicago Bears Network. He's tentatively scheduled to work the team's preseason broadcasts again this August on the TV side for the second straight year.

Now, it appears as if Miller Time, as in former Bears' QB Jim Miller will soon assume an undetermined new role in the Bears' communications department full time. According to the Detroit News, Miller will leave his duties with the Michigan State Spartans Radio Network to join the Bears in a new capacity. Will Tieman, the Owner of the Spartan Sports Network, told the Detroit News that "It was an opportunity Jim couldn't pass up."

The details of Miller's new role with the Bears aren't fully known. The team is upgrading up in Lake Forest, complete with a new TV & radio facility inside the team's headquarters and it's believed the Bears will be originating more of their own programming from this facility currently under construction.

I don't know about that. I heard Mac & Spiegs bring up the possibility of a 3-man booth again on the Bears Radio Network. In recent years, it's been Jeff Joniak & Tom Thayer in a 2-man booth with Zach Zaidman on the sidelines for all the games on 780 AM, and the last 2 years on 105.9 FM, the 2 stations that simulcast WBBM Newsradio.

Nobody's saying for sure and they tried to get Miller, a Monday regular the last couple of years on Mac & Spiegs, as well as Thayer to comment on the story. Neither were available.
