Yeah, he also has a list of "the best". Those are his opinions and most of them are about right. I'm not a fan of Giangreco. Chet likes him. But he really doesn't go hard after anyone in there except Mawicke and Foley.

Honestly, when Larry isn't lusting over weather bunnies and Dan Bernstein, he's not intolerable. The problem is that he always is.

I enjoy the B&b show a lot of the time, but I'm not kidding myself about bernstein's lack of respect for me as a listener. A result of li'l danny's style has been the creation of these sycophantic ass-lickers like Ten Foot Midget and Maddux Boy. And even they are occasionally given the high hand by li'l dan. Bill on Capitol Hill has the business model down pat. Just e-mail rather than call. That way danny can read your words like a proud father.

I don't think Chet cared about his listeners all that much. He rarely took calls and the best way I could describe the interactions I saw with fans would be imperial....the 7 foot tall chet walking around in his fur coat deigning to touch the peons every once in a while. Chet's favorite topic of conversation was Chet. He was the sports version of Ted Knight's character on The Mary Tyler Moore Show.

My favorite Chet story was when some listener called into Dahl's show about standing in a buffet line with Chet. Chet was in full Chet mode holding up the line while engrossed in conversation and the guy said he took a piece of bacon off of Chet's plate, took a bite and put it back without Chet noticing. Chet denied it happening but he did admit he was at the event and had bacon.

His evening show is good. Almost ZERO Bernstein impressions. And the Weather girls thing is hilarious

Nah. There is an obvious disconnect between him and "the common man" for a long time now, but he still gets a kick out of entertaining listeners. He seems to enjoy hearing a caller laugh and gush over a segment more than anything. If a caller attempted to laugh at something Bernstein did, he'd probably mock the hell out of him....
