OK, college BB guru's. Who should they take?

Some mocks have them taking Gorgui Dieng which makes sense: backup big man with a defensive mindset who can also pass out of the high post.

Thoughts? Insights??

Dieng would be a good pick and I also like Crabbe the SG.

Also IMO the best player in this draft is Otto Porter. Not sure why no one has him going #1.

Some are saying the kid from Georgia Kentavious Caldwell-Pope will be available and worthy but I've never seen him play so I have no clue.

Seems logical if in luxury tax try to get lucky with a rookie SG

Definately logic there assuming they can find one who can fit in their scheme and play for Thibs. I watch hardly any college BB so just curious from those who do which players make sense at 20.

I know you have all been waiting for this so here goes:

the official good dolphin's guy for the 2013 NBA Draft is C.J. Leslie, 6'9", 200 from N.C. State. The guy has star potential but has issues with work ethic. I think a step up in competition and a motivator like Thibodeau will result in this guy realizing his immense potential.

I don't know him, but your description sounds like Tyrus Thomas.

If available, go with Tim Hardaway Jr. He's not going higher because people think he has a low ceiling. I disagree. I think he's got the potential to be really good. Now, he may not ever become good but that's what you get with a pick at this stage in a draft that is weak.

Plus he will instantly be adopted as Mini Ditka's favorite player.

Yeah, but wait until some hard-hitting investigative reporter or part time radio producer asks him his thoughts on the burrito..

If Tyrus Thomas were taken at 20, we'd be praising the Bulls for developing him.

Leslie played three years in a much more competitive conference. He put up numbers from the moment he walked on campus and continued to do so. He is athletic and plays defense averaging 1.5 blocks per game over his career.

He is a little light to play in the post at 200 but I think he can bulk up and be Taj Gibson but with a much more refined offensive game.

Picking Mirotic was also a way to avoid adding salary since they can acquire his rights without having to pay him. I'm not sure if that strategy worked out anyway since I think they're paying the luxury tax this year.

I was thinking Whithey would be the guy but apparently he didn't show well at the combine.

I actually stumbled across combine coverage on NBA TV over the weekend waiting for the Hawks and Cubs games to start and holy god that is alot of Fran Fraschilla talking over dudes missing free throws.

That wasn't NBA TV. That was ESPNU that had NBA Combine Coverage with Fran, Ryen Russillo, Chad Ford & Jason Williams late last week bumping the daily simulcast of ESPN Radio's "The Herd with Colin Cowherd".

What about Shane Larkin from The U?? Isn't he a Bulls kind of guy? I watched 2 D1 basketball games this year and he starred in both of them.

The SCORE's Laurence Holmes gets kinda pissy when that name comes up. Shane Larkin could've been at DePaul.

He was a workout warrior. He'll be gone before the Bull pick

Yeah I don't think he will be there when the Bulls are picking either. Random draft thought I am really looking forward to the Trey Burke era in Charlotte
