Not for the quality of the beer. It is for a current promotion they are running. Memorial Day to 4th of July. You might have heard or seen it. Special cases of 24 cans in a Red ,White and Blue motif. They will donate a portion of each one sold to a scholarship fund for service men and family's' of wounded warriors. I was like cool. Then I listen to the entire ad. It is 2.5 cents per case with a max donation of 1.5 million. Last year sales just in the USA of just the flagship brand where over1.5 billion.
I will still buy a couple of cases because it is a good cause but what a load of horse shit.

I would think at some point they donate to other causes too, Chas. $1.5 mil is still a lot bread for people not named Dr Ken.

Donate what you would spend on the two cases to the actual charity, then buy better beer with the rest of your money.

Donating to charity sucks. Will not buy Budweiser now.

Why doesn't Budweiser just send prayers and good wishes their way?

I was amazed to find in Europe that Bud is treated like we would treat a good imported beer. They're not drinking much beer south of Rome anyway but swill is still swill.

This nomination should really be for them developing this 'bow tie" can that is supposed to look cool and be easy to grip but in reality cuts the liquid volume down to 11 ounces.

The real douchebag is Chas, for complaining about a company that is about to donate $1.5 million dollars over a 39 day period.

$1.5 million would cover a lot of fraudulent disability claims.

Chas, you are a real scumbag.

All of these "we will donate some if you buy" promotions are very annoying to me. Just donate and shut up.

I would wager that big companies such as this donate millions of dollars, without any type of publicity. They just write it off.

Since 1997, Anheuser Busch has donated more than $515 million to various charitable organizations.

Chas, how much have you taken since 1997?

Which is why I support local business and local causes. Selling a well crafted special edition beer, donate $150 on every $1000 sold.
