Hmmm... Thoughts on this statement? His full statement was actually, we played well the last two games, just need to get a little more out of everyone. If you need to get more out of everyone, you're probably not playing too well Joel.

That's a nice way of saying "my players give up a lot, and/or suck."

Did he follow that up with " except for trying to enter the offensive zone on a power play which actually looked like the opponent had the extra skater on the ice and not us?"

The Hawks have been getting outhustled for three years now. I don't get it. Why do they look like they're not trying?

I hear ya Badrogue. Why the F isn't Leddy getting more power play time if gaining entry into the zone is an issue? I'm sick of seeing Duncan Keith on the blue line fumbling the puck around and especially tired of seeing his shots never getting through traffic. And his stupid fake slap pass that hasn't worked in a year and a half.

Back to my original post. I'm really pissed bc Q is speaking like a loser at these pressers. Dude, there aren't moral victories in the Stanley Cup Playoffs. We just haven't looked prepared. Babcock looks 3 steps ahead of Q in every phase of the game.

Babs has made all of the effective adjustments. Q's only adjustments has been to juggle lines but it's the same guys doing the same shit, only on different lines.

I don't feel like Keith has been the same player since the shot to the face. His offensive output has been absolutely abysmal, and the main reason for it is his lack of confidence with the puck. Keith will either take a half-hearted "Here goes nothin" shot from the point or else dish it off to somebody else. Keith of Olde was far more dynamic and more willing to play the puck on the net with aggression. Leddy's been doing that a ton and his reward has been...

...reduced minutes. Brilliant.

Seabrook's similarly fallen to pieces ever since Raffi Torres assassinated him in 2011. He's physical, but stupidly so, and his equal offensive hesitation is akin to Keith's impotence. Seabs' play got him benched towards the end of the season, and rightfully so.

Are either of these guys the problem? No, but they're both eating up $5.8-ish million/yr for the next few years (in Keith's case until FUCKING 2023, HOLY SHIT). If I'm Bowman I look to move Seabrook while he has any value whatsoever. Use his cap space to improve the forwards and pay Nick Leddy.

Dave Bolland can go. He's a regular season ghost who's sole purpose is to revitalize playoff rosters, and it's pretty evident that the magic's gone (that and he's been injured like clockwork).

If Bowman can dump Bolland and Seabrook, this leaves the door open to retain Bickell and Leddy while simultaneously opening up cap space to invest in a center.

As far as Toews goes, he's the captain and this is hopefully going to be a learning experience for him. I know he's capable of more, and this series alone shouldn't be enough to take that C patch away. There's still too much talent in Toews, Kane, Hossa, and Saad to think they couldn't work wonders with a supporting cast.

Hossa doesn't belong in that list. He's made it clear the playoffs is the time to take a backseat and provide zero production. I'm sure once the playoffs end there will be some bullshit injury leaked to the media excusing his disappearing act.

Hossa and Kane are pretty much one in the same. They won't ever take the scoring initiative, ever. Ever.

...but when they have good talent around them, they make everybody better, and they in turn play better. It's obvious there's no true scoring heroes on this team that can create goals on their own, but I do believe if the supporting cast was better, they'd perform at the levels we all expect.
