Completely stupid thought.

Sale is the goods. Rizzo is better than Santiago and Quintana together.

Please. Quintana and Santiago have top of the rotation stuff. Rizzo's a 5-hitter in a good lineup.

If you're gonna argue with someone trolling, at least make it dolphin or Frank.

 Good point.

Sorry lost my way there for a moment.

This is probably true but they aren't better than him now or have more value.

Maybe at Charlotte, possibly Birmingham but definitely at Kannapolis.

Right, because lefties with low-to-mid-90's fastballs with plus control are in abundance.

Who are you talking about?

That does not describe Quintana or Santiago

Did you catch the second half of Quintana's season last year? Or yesterday's game?

Santiago isnt even good enough to stick with a below .500 team

Santiago couldn’t hold a 4-0 lead against the struggling Angels and didn’t finish the fourth inning after walking four and giving up four hits. He was charged with three runs.

Plus control

Its not close to true.

Quintana has average stuff at best and needs razor sharp control (which comes and goes for him) to be effective

Santiago is projected as a middle reliever or 3-4 starter at best.

I agree about Rizzo being a 5 in a good lineup, but not sure why that's presented as a bad thing.

Not to get out the WAR stick again, but to put it in those terms:

Santiago and Quintana are probably 2-3 WARish pitchers at best

Rizzo is probably a 5 WAR player (might be high) with a chance of a few 7+ WAR seasons

It's a lot easier to find and replace one of those types of players than the other
