Yeah they are off, and they are regulars, as they are on every Saturday morning.

Jason is in flying solo from 2-5:30, which is the only time I will be tuning in today.

I wouldn't call the Saturday morning crew regulars. Anyone who hosts weekends regularly are your backups, in my opinion.

Larry... can you please explain to us how you can have the big 15 minute Free For All, yet only let through callers about baseball. Isn't the Free For All where we control the show? Any topic? How can it be the Free For All - Baseball Only Edition? Isn't that just taking calls on baseball?

You can have all three, as they are proof of it's "who you know" rather than talent.

Saturday morning's show was especially annoying.
Someone called in to ask about Soriano's whereabouts on the Jones' play at home plate. In an instant, Larry chimes in about how many calls the group has taken on this subject. He says that he does understand the emotion. Matt chimes in that Soriano is "the most hated player on the team", then Double Z lends his support for Drinky's claim.
I also want to know where Soriano was on the play. I don't believe I'm trying to go after the hated Soriano on this play -- I just didn't see a shot where he was on the play. It's a legitimate question, because that is the job of the on-deck hitter. Either Jones disregarded the signal, didn't pick it up in time - OR SORIANO WASN'T TELLING JONES TO SLIDE.
This was just awful-Cubbie-Kool Aid radio (and Larry is a Sox fan?).
BTW, Jones IS THE MOST HATED CUB ON THE SQUAD. I guess Murph is wrong and Jones isn't a loser. It's Adolpho Soriano.

I can't understand all the lovefest that people have for Matt (people all over this site want to give him a M-F gig) . He is average at best. He has the personality of a thumbtack and is a horrible radio listen.

These 3 fools should try to understand the audience on a Saturday morning. It is 8am and they are blasting extreme heavy metal and all 3 have a circle-jerk how much it gets them pumped-up. I know the last thing i want to hear on a lazy sunday is screaming music from my stereos (their intro is full of crappy annoying music).

I guess this is what you get with 3 guys who are trying to make a name for yourself. COuple this with their constant yelling matches (why are they yelling in the first place?) makes this a tough listen...it's just too bad that there is no good alternative to listen to in the AM.

When did Alfonso Soriano become the most hated player on the team ? If you're on the radio, I think you should have a clue, maybe know what you are talking about. That usually will make the listening experience better.

That other show down the dial is absolutely horrible. I was driving last week, and went over there for a segment, and there callers are asking about mortgage options, and then giving their opinions on the Cubs. Just extremely bad.

This show is ok at best - lots of screaming, Holmes knows it all, and Abatacola is probably the best of the three, but the reason he gets so much love is because he posts here. People like that he takes the time to correspond.

Ease up Matt, not everyone that called was blaming Soriano for a mistake. It's just that it seems like it is unknown about where he was on the play. If he wasn't there giving Jones signals, that's a mistake. That's the job of the on-deck hitter.
I don't like it when radio hosts tell me how to think. Yesterday, Mac tells viewers that no one can dispute his claim that the Stones are the top performers of all-time.
Both Matt and Mac were giving their opinions. They weren't sharing facts.
I like it best when hosts just give their opinions, not shove them down our throats.
