don cherry was literally besides himself over the call. he can't believe it.... they didn't hear the whistle on the replay (i swear i think i did, but i'm unsure) and like.... yeah. the ref had the awareness of the situation to make it a double penalty so he didn't get shat on or maybe even literally murdered by the crowd.... can you imagine how that'd go down if it was just a red wings penalty there and then the hawks go on and lose this? detroit commits a penalty to negate the hawks' winning goal and then goes on to win?

yeah, saad had to get dragged into that penalty to save face. i guess he got 2mins for being checked over the boards. CBC announcers STILL saying that they have no idea what saad did to get the penalty.
