I actually think the Sox losses to the Cubs will send them into a prolonged slump. Just a guess, but they look very bad at the plate.

It didn't stop White Sox fans from calling Sox Radio Network pre/postgame host Chris Rongey as well as other SCORE shows from demanding Greg Walker's firing as hitting coach. Two years ago, fans got their wish after that season.

Quite frankly, I don't know if Jeff Manto's on thin ice as the current hitting coach. You are correct, but I've followed White Sox baseball enough to know when things aren't going well, it's not the manager who takes the fall. It's the hitting coach, and I think even the pitching coach over the years that have been shown the door in midseason. You're also right that 3 losses to the crosstown Cubs isn't a season breaker either. It's not looking too good on the whole this season for the Sox. This isn't fun to watch.

The record is not where I would like it to be right now, but the the past doesn't matter at this point. 4.5 games off the division lead is something that can be shortened significantly in a week.
