They don't need some all-knowing douche telling them to do otherwise. I'll bet there are thousands of people there who would gladly take those thoughts and prayers you miserable bastard. I'm obviously not some Holy Roller who wears his religious beliefs on my sleeves but maybe thoughts and prayers are all some people can offer.

This is indefensible, irrespective of your beliefs on prayer. Like t dub says, maybe keeping OK in one's thoughts and/or prayers is all one can do. It's a basic expression of human sympathy, something Dan failed to display when writing this callous tweet.

First, I think someone started a thread about nicknames. If you have to do the BernStine thing, you already lose. However, this is a worthy DB thread. It's not worth being part of the "block party" to debate it on Twitter, so we'll have at it. His premise is correct. The same people come out with the same verbiage during every occurrence. If my house gets hit by a tornado, I'm going to appreciate the people that said they were thinking about it negatively. Shocking. I'm going to remember the people that helped pick up whatever belongings I have left, or saved my family. The same can be said about donations, as opposed to thoughts and prayers to whatever you pray to at night. But there are many people that would donate if they could, but, as Jason Goff would say, need to keep the light bill on. Dan, take your absolute arguments and shove them up your giggy. I'm glad I'm in a position to offer sentiment and financial generosity, but that doesn't represent everyone.
