Twitter is great. Where else can you read that Dwayne Wade to the Bulls is imminent?

The right questions about Die Hard is "Is this fucking awesome or what?" and "Why is the guy from Moonlighting an action hero all of a sudden?"

When we as individuals get to decide our own interpretations of the bible, then you have no moral justification or authority to deny someone else the same thing.

With that in mind, you have no basis for criticizing those that try and use the bible to defend gay marriage for starters. They just choose their own interpretation. Just like you do.

Honest question: is it possible to NOT have your own interpretation of the Bible (or anything for that matter)? It seems to me that our own subjective reality does not allow for an objective interpretation of anything, let alone a 2,000 year old document.

I'm not defending Mini Ditka, just so we're clear.

I don't have a personal interpretation of what is written in the bible. So my answer would be yes.

Legitimate guess on what the right questionsare: Maybe she was pointing out fake-ish stuff which could be viewed as sharp if the kid is young enough. How old is she? I didnt know he had a daughter.

She is in Jason's Shadow as far as the show, it seems.

It was years ago. I think I've said this before. I mocked him for the "insider" info on Lebron and Wade and also argued with him that Deron Williams was better than Kyrie Irving that year. He responded by calling me a typical Illinois fan (I'm not an Illinois fan) and then blocking me. Goff is a bitch.

I was blocked because he was ripping some ESPN chick for reporting D. Rose's ACL tear. (Apparently the report was premature, but ended up being right, so I thought it was a bit much for D Wade to Bulls is imininet Jason Goff to be scolding someone for a bad twitter report and I pointed this out)

I would agree. At least for the traditions with which I am familiar, there are at best credible readings (plural) of particular texts, on which a handful of interpretations develop.

I'd love to know what the "right" questions are that must be asked to properly dissect fun cinematic pablum like Die Hard.

Daddy, is Hans Gruber hitting all his marks? What is Karl's WAR? When will Bruce Willis dong-whip the terrorists?

Seacrest, read this list of verses and tell me if you think these verses make sense with your understanding of salvation.

Romans Road of Scripture

Romans 3:10 (All Have Sinned)

10
As it is written: There is no one righteous, not even one;

Romans 3:23 (All Have Sinned)

23
for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,

Romans 5:12 (Sin's Penalty)

12
Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and in this way death came to all men, because all sinned.

Romans 6:23 (Sin's Penalty)

23
For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in [1] Christ Jesus our Lord.

Romans 5:8 (Christ Paid the Penalty)

8
But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

Romans 10:9,10 (Salvation through Faith)

9
That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
10
For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.

Romans 10:13 (Salvation through Faith)

13
for, "Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved."

It's not arrogant if it's true. Jesus himself said that he was the only way to heaven. That is very offensive to a lot of people, but that is the nature of the Gospel to those who don't believe.

The Apostle Paul says this in 2 Corinthians 15-16:

15 Our lives are a Christ-like fragrance rising up to God. But this fragrance is perceived differently by those who are being saved and by those who are perishing. 16 To those who are perishing, we are a dreadful smell of death and doom. But to those who are being saved, we are a life-giving perfume.

Check out what Jesus said in John 14:1-11 about being the only way to heaven:

14 “Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. 2 My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. 4 You know the way to the place where I am going.”

5 Thomas said to him, “Lord, we don’t know where you are going, so how can we know the way?”

6 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. 7 If you really know me, you will know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him.”

8 Philip said, “Lord, show us the Father and that will be enough for us.”

9 Jesus answered: “Don’t you know me, Philip, even after I have been among you such a long time? Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, ‘Show us the Father’? 10 Don’t you believe that I am in the Father, and that the Father is in me? The words I say to you I do not speak on my own authority. Rather, it is the Father, living in me, who is doing his work. 11 Believe me when I say that I am in the Father and the Father is in me; or at least believe on the evidence of the works themselves.

His tweet about Die Hard was far more rippable, this just makes me feel embarrassed for his kid. How sad is that Dan blocked me and I still google his tweets then halfheartedly defend him posting pics of his children? If he had a tract of land in French Guyana I'd hate to think what might become of me.

1. I trust the Bible. People who don't believe in Christianity generally don't believe the Bible.

Check out this link below on the 5,200 manuscripts of the New Testament. The manuscripts are 99.5 percent accurate, with 100 percent meaning word for word identical.

http://carm.org/manuscript-evidence

2. The life, death and resurrection as written in the Bible are historical fact. They never found Jesus' body. According to the Apostle Paul there were more than 500 people who saw the resurrected Jesus. Many of them were martyred for their faith.

3. The other religions are wrong, but the reason for that is because Christianity cannot be true and the other religions true at the same time. Those positions are logically incompatible. If Jesus is the Son of God who rose from the dead there can be no other way to heaven since he is the mediator between God and man according to the Bible.

Jonestown was in independent Guyana, though it's not unthinkable that Bernstown would go with French Guiana. French means better food!

I'm kind of really interested in Jonestown, by the way. Have you ever listened to the death tapes?

So, MD, why did you choose the Judeo-Christian faith, other than that's how you were raised? Looking forward to the discussion, buddy...

do you think his kid could play for their basketball team? bernsie would probably have to make an interesting decision because having a white kid play for his basketball team would be a tough one.

i've listened to the death tape as well. if you want to see a really good doc on jonestown, i recommend this:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oX7Jj09K3nQ

as long as you can get past the fact that the reinactor for jim jones will remind you of bob odenkirk you should learn a lot about what happened there. and i definitely recommend checking out more about his son, stephan. good guy.

If you really believe, you have to think your religion is superior, don't you?

And your question right there is exactly why Islam is a religion on the rise and Christianity is on the decline. There are enough Muslims that believe in the superiority of there religion that they are willing to die for it with the sincere belief that they will be greeted immediately by 72 virgins. See if you can find a Christian willing to die for his belief in Christ.

I watched that thing on A&E about it a few years ago and that ESPN piece about his son that was playing college basketball. Both pretty interesting.
