But it's more than OK to go after the Heat for their whining and James for his "charging" calls.
I guess it's the Rodman principle.

Not sure what you dont get here but have a great day on the lil yellow bus.

I understand you're point: the Heat have abused the gray area (flopping) to the point of fines, and they whine about the officiating.
I'm not a fan of their flopping ways either, but I don't believe Windy City pro basketball fans have any room to talk -- sports fans in general. 2005 ALCS, Game Two -- remember.
I understand why fans hate the Heat, but it's rather self righteous to say "this is enough". The Bulls clinched their sixth title on an obvious offensive call.
I wish Lebron and the Heat wouldn't stoop to this level, but they did so deal with it. You think Malone-Stockton era Jazz fans love Air Jordan. I'm guessing not, and I'm sure a lot of his to do with the push off on Russell.
Long time Bulls fan, but some objectivity should be shown in this case.

Youre overestimating that "push off " by Jordan. It was done with his left hand and Russell was already off balance and heading in the direction that Jordan "pushed" him. You really think you can move someone like that with your off hand while dribbling a basketball?

I think you're trying too hard to act impartial if you're comparing flopping to an actual basketball foul.

I understand the thinking of that. You do whatever you can to get a turnover, but at this point, I am sure the refs see these ridiculous calls on replay and if I see any player flying across the court and I didnt see the clear shot to the head, I am not calling it for the simple fact it makes the refs look terrible

It makes the league look bad for this minimal fine as well.

Seeing a ref talk to lebron after a fake flop is about as bad as I have seen and makes people question the league.

When Reggie Miller is laughing at your flops, you know it has become beyond ridiculous.

the league needs to up the fines on reviews.

or do something similar to baseball drug testing. First offense, gets a notice, basically now on the flopping list. second offense, fined. None of it is public. 3rd time in a 20 game span, suspension.

basically the penalty needs to be more to stop this.

Take another look Rogue. Michael extended his arm. Russell was overplaying, but the push made him go forward at least two steps -- enough time to Jordan to pull up for the J.

Someone else has made this point, but Jordan's shot is not anything like LBJ propelling himself backward as if he's been hit by a missile. Guys flop all the time, Bulls and non-Bulls, but there's no hypocrisy in calling it out as you see it, especially since the Bulls aren't even playing anymore.

Totally disagree about flopping being necessary, these soft pussies are an embarrassment with all this flopping. Indiana has outplayed them n the refs have kept Miami alive. The spurs are going to whoop these chumps if they get by the Pacers.

No way. It was Russell's momentum. I'm not being a homer. I actually did watch it again and came to the same conclusion. MJ wasn't strong enough to push a full grown man 3 feet with his offhand while dribbling.

Wade bitching about opportunities blows my mind. He may be more immature than Lebron. This is the NBA. It's not high school. It's not even college. You play to WIN. THE. GAME. If that takes 40 shots by Lebron, so be it. Because the rest of you suck. In fact, that's what Lebron should have done last night. He should have tried to score every time down the floor. Wade becomes a bigger douche with each passing year. Grow up, pussy.

Last year I thought they would lose in the Finals, so I wasn't 100 percent behind them losing to Boston in Conference Finals. This year I'd like to see Indiana take them out, but it would probably be sweeter to see the Spurs take them down in 4 games. Either way I just want them to lose. This could be Miami's last shot at a championship if Wade's knee gives him problems next season.

If the Pacers make the Finals everyone should conclude that the Bulls with Rose had enough to beat Miami.

I'm not much of an NBA fan but I will be watching & rooting for Indiana Monday like as if they are the Blackhawks or Bears. The Heat getting upset by the Pacers would be great...not to mention Dan Bernstein being must listen radio on Tuesday.

With Chicago sports not being in anything (other than that bull shit sport no one cares about), it is kinda fun to have such a united front against the Heat.

Viva la Pacers!

Yea...I never thought I would see the day when Chicago sports fans don't care about Baseball.

I don't know if they don't care, but it is at least a passive caring. The general trend in baseball is not good, based on the Millenial generation. When you throw in perennial suckage, it makes it easy. Hopefully, they are relevant again soon.

I have real mixed feelings on it. I want to see the Heat lose but I also want to see Spurs and Heat battle. So I am going for the Heat I think.

Right, and Lebron is going to come out of this looking like the good guy if they lose. He's doing everything, and Wade and Bosh have just been awful.

I do want Indiana to take this, but I don't think they will. Lebron is going to have a historic game tonight. I'm guessing he goes for 50. Anything less will probably lead to a loss for Miami.

Think of it like one big 70s night. Weat your short shorts, pull your socks up high and pray for Bird and Magic to save your game.

I'm sure very few people outside Indy want to see a Spurs/Pacers Final, and I'm one of the most avid NBA fans there are. Many of those rooting for the Pacers tonight will not watch another NBA game until next year's playoffs anyway. People just want to see Miami lose. That's fine, but I'd rather see it happen in the Finals against a team with three HOF players and a HOF coach.

Trust me, we're all better off (as NBA fans) if Miami wins tonight.

I get what you're saying , but the backlash/fallout, media scrutiny, questions about James leaving, etc. would be MUCH greater if they lose tonight than if they lose in the Finals. It wouldn't be shocking at all if they lost to the Spurs, i'm sure many have them as the favorites anyway. if they lose a game 7 at home to the Pacers it would be a crushing defeat. and i'd really like to see a meltdown

Hoping for The Heat to lose.

Always remember...."Not 4....Not 5....Not 6....Not 7...."

And I WILL watch the Finals.
