7'2, 275....I like him, although he seems a tad sleepy, if Skiles lights a fire under him he might be a poor man's Oden. Any thoughts?

We'll find out in the OSU-Georgetown matchup.

There are very few decent players in college over 6'8. Tyler Hansborough and Josh McRoberts look pretty good in college too.

If he can compete against a similarly sized big man then I will be a believer. He doesn't have to outplay him, but he can't look outmatched.

I think Hibbert will be like Brendan Haywood...softest seven feet in basketball.

Do you think Hansbrough has the athleticism necessary to be effective in the NBA? I haven't seen him play that much, but he strikes me as being more skilled than athletic and not quick enough to guard a solid pro power forward, which is the position he'll have to play in the League, no?

I like Corey Brewer, but unfortunately, the Boo are pretty deep at his spot. I think the Hibbert idea has merit.

I just love reading about "Rudy Burrito".

I think Hibbert will be better than O'bryant though.

I would not be so quick to close the book on O'Bryant. Anyone who drafted him knew he needed work. This season shaped up as expected.

Yes, as is Sene. I believe that were chosen right next to each other and both were projects.

Assuming they aren't picking in the top 10, I wouldn't mind seeing Glen "Big Baby" Davis in a Bulls uniform next year.

At 7'2, he needs to put on at least 25 pounds before I would have any interest in him.

I think Hibbert will be gone in the top 10, so unless the Knicks go on a losing streak and move into that range, he'll be gone. I've watched some footage of the Chinese kid, Yi Julian(whom the Bulls may be interested in) and he seems like a decent prospect. Won't do much right away though. The Bulls should be looking at taking the best player availible instead of drafting for need. It's time for Pax to try and hit a homerun and chose a player who they believe has the chance to be a star player instead of playing it safe(although the Thomas selection is similiar to this, they could have taken Aldridge).

Pau's brother is also someone to keep an eye on. He's been moving up the ranks slowly but surely.

"Lottery Pick" has become a meaningless designation these days. If a 21 year old player in a foreign league had the physical descritions of Patrick O'Bryant, the entire league would be salivating him while preparing for the draft.

A lot of underclassmen would have to return to school for Hibbert to go in the top 10. I don't see it happening. There are just too many players that are clearly more talented than him, including one on his own team. He'll be on the board when the Bulls pick. I just hope they don't pick him. Too sluggish. And besides, if that's the type of player Pax is looking for, he could've taken Aldridge last year, who's worlds better than Hibbert.

Looks like you're on your way to being right about taking Aldridge over Thomas, so you've definitely got some scouting cred accumulating for yourself.

This was hardly a novel prediction. Even Sam Smith had Roy winning ROY.

Did you miss the Lou Canellis scoop? The Bulls already drafted him in last years draft.

Bump...Although I like Noah, Hibbert is turning out to be a pretty good center.

I'm not right very often, but I think O'Bryant played a total of what, maybe 50 games in the league?

Nice call back then, spmack. Outside of blocks, his stats don't blow you away, but he's definitely a player. Noah is good, but Hibbert looks like a more natural scorer than Noah.

Just wait until I'm right about The Belmont this weekend. You'll be taking this back!

Exactly...and at this point, Greg Oden wishes that he were a poor man's Roy Hibbert.

I am glad others have stepped up as I was clearly trying to do more than I am capable of doing with this nba talk
