Alright, a charged up desperate 1st period was to be expected. Took their best punch and lucked out down only 1. As shitty as Hawks played I'll take it.

Pretty sloppy period from the Hawks and the ice. Jeff Carter looks like he has absorbed Mike Richards's spirit and is playing for both of them. They won't keep this pace up all game, though, I don't think. Hawks just have to play smarter. They've been a really good road team this year, so it's not unthinkable that they'll come out better. Can't come out much worse!
