Emery must really not value his time or his coaches. Jamarcus Russell has a 52.5% career completion percentage. No use for that in Trestman's offense.

I dont think his NFL stats are the reason he's being brought in

It's a flyer on a guy who has a lot of tools.

But the most important one, accuracy, is missing.

Id venture to say he's as good as any 4th string QB in the league

Yea. All pretty harmless. Just figured Bears would want to devote all their time and effort on fixing Jay Cutler instead of sniffing around for developmental QBs to fix.

They were probably going to window shop the backup QB market anyway, and if the backup QB they were looking at was someone like Bulger or Hasselback then I don't think we'd be having this conversation. Given what happened in 2011, you want to be as strong as possible at all three QB spots, and I just see the Russell workout as due diligence.

Let's bring in Todd Marinovich for a workout too.

I would have guessed you were fine with this.

I don't really care either way. Doesn't move the needle for me. I assume it's nothing. Then again, I was assured that Coach Poutine was nothing.

I would like them to give Kafka a call for a tryout.
