Darren Pang is normally a breath of fresh air as a commentator but he needs to be called out for his irresponsible comments about Hawks coach Jamie Kompon. For those who missed it, the Panger called Coach Kompon a brilliant tactician while he was instructing the team during a time out in which the Hawks were about to embark on a 5 on 3 power play. He talked about what a wonderful job he did during his days in LA and St. Louis (where Q was the HC). I'm sorry but how many assistants are let go after their teams win the cup? Yeah Panger, sounds like he was brilliant.

The Hawks let mike Haviland go last year so Q could bring his buddy Kompon aboard to run our PP. our PP was not up to par last year but its been fucking awful this year. LA's pp was terrible with Kompon coaching it too. The Hawks have too much talent to be as inept as they are on the power play. The Hawks won the President's Trophy in spite of this ass-clown.

I know the NBC sports team is not going to bring hard hitting analysis but the full body blow job they gave Kompon was ridiculous. Almost as bad as the ensuing 5 on 3 and 5 on 4 "advantages" the Hawks had.

The broadcasting for this round has been a noticable step down in quality from the past two although I enjoy that Engblom looks like Jon Voight's mullted Canadian cousin.

This is interesting: Game 5 drew a 19.6 in Chicago. Tops for the market on NBC outside of the Stanley Cup Final.
