When a team is trailing by 30 and loses by nearly 20, you can't blame the officiating. I'm sorry. Spurs just got outplayed. I saw it in the first quarter...offensively they were flat. Defensively Miami got after them. That's all there is to it.

Spurs just gave away a game. LeBron played terrible and they couldn't win. This will be a 20 point win. The Heat play with more confidence when they're ahead. Bosh will even hit a 3.

In fairness to the Spurs the officiating has been awful. There should be an investigation.

Miami won because they're the better team. The gap between the Heat and Spurs may not be huge, but the Heat are still better. If SA's shooters go cold, they're in trouble. They did decent yesterday and still lost. The Heat don't need as many players to get hot as the Spurs do to win against each other.

While his premise may be logical, it is flawed because there are tons of fouls that, if precedented, would ruin the game. Refs make bad calls all the time - it doesn't mean it starts a precedent.

7:00: San Antonio takes out its starters with seven minutes to go in the fourth. I am sure this annoyed Stern—the last thing he wants is a boring finals game. Pop should have known that the refs were going to give every call to San Antonio for the rest of the game, hoping to give his team some chance to make a bit of a comeback. Referees care about TV ratings, too, so they'll narrow the deficit to keep the game interesting. They know that if somebody turns on the game and it's a 30-point blowout halfway through the 4th quarter, that person probably isn't going to keep watching.
