Not surprisingly, I disagree. It's obviously a must win for Miami, but SA just demonstrated that a loss doesn't really phase them. Miami's confidence level is irrelevant.

I'm with FavreFan. I actually don't think its a must win either.

Not really disagreeing, but I don't think losses phase any team at this point.

As for Miami, I wrote earlier that they've overcome several playoff holes:

0-1 2011 vs Chicago
2-3 2012 vs Boston
0-1 2012 vs OKC
0-1 2013 vs Chicago

And now they're 1-2.

True, but(and I know you'll disagree), they haven't faced a team this good since they have been together.

If Miami loses, they will just turn it on and get them to at least a 7th game. It pisses me off, but I think its the reality of the Heat.

The thing that was surprising about last night's game was that the 3 guys on San Antonio that you think everyone is counting on did very little compared to the big 3. Danny Green and Gary Neal are two guys nobody thought could beat the Heat and they absolutely torched them. The thing about the NBA is that when a team is hitting three pointers the game can get out of hand very quickly. The Spurs are as a team are playing LeBron James better than the Bulls did and Jimmy Butler did a great job on him. The difference is that San Antonio's team defense is better and James cannot get to the hoop without being met by other defenders and it's not as though he's getting bailed out from the refs either.

FF I didn't expect for you to agree with me. Your Spurs bias has always been over the top. With the injury to Parker and with Miami lacking confidence it is in their best interest to put them away immediately.

Besides I have money on the Spurs (I love underdogs if you haven't noticed) and after losing too many bets last series I won't feel comfortable if Miami hangs around because of LeBron.

The Bulls were as good but lacked experience. I would put Boston in there too but they had injuries. In fact Miami has been very lucky when it comes to star players of their opponents being injured.

I agree that it's in Miami's best interest to win the next three games, but I don't believe they are capable of doing that.

I disagree about the 2011 Bulls. They would be too dependent on Rose to keep up with the Spurs' multi-pronged attack. FF is right in predicting that I'd disagree with him here, because I think OKC has been the best team the Heat have beaten.

I didn't expect you to agree. Your anti-Spurs bias has always been over the top, but this Spurs team is easily better than either of those teams.

The Bulls destroyed that Spurs team. OKC didn't impress me and experience was a major factor.

I have not picked the Spurs to lose a series. In fact I correctly predicted they would come back when they were down by 20 against the Grizzlies. I even got their margin of victory right.

You picked them to get swept in the first round and in this series.

i meant in a hypothetical matchup between the 2011 Bulls and the 2013 Spurs. The Spurs have improved with the play of supporting players like Leonard, Splitter, and Green. Duncan would eat Boozer alive on the glass and the Bulls wouldn't be able to score enough to beat the Spurs four times.

I did not. The Lakers weren't going to beat them. Clearly my Finals pick was bullshit since I've put money on them. You should know I could never pick the Heat. Hell I was hoping the Bucks could beat them. If my son played for Miami I would hope they lose.

That would be nice.

As for OKC, and I know not all with agree, I think they are the team to beat in the West. I'll just say right now that they are in the Finals next year. Feel very strongly about that. Had them this year vs Miami until Westbrook went down.

Hard to tell it was bullshit between your numerous comments about how the Spurs were too old to hang with Miami. Sure didn't seem like it.

I like all the NBA fans here, but with all due respect, none of us has any idea what's gonna happen. If we did, we'd be rich.
