I think the sexual assault thing was a money grab. The part that calls his character into question is that the encounter happened during the pregnancy of the live in girlfriend he had knocked up.

No doubt he has been bad lately.

But every person that has ever played the game has stretches like this. It happens. Hitting a baseball at the major league level is a damn hard thing to do. Castro is going to be fine. He will learn from times like this and will be better for it down the road.

To be fair, player comps arent really comparisons. He was compared to Jeter because the type of player they were, not for potential. At least not that I recall.

He was too good for too long (2 full seasons) for me to just dismiss him. Guys have gone through this before. Gotta just hope he comes out of it.
