No question MJ outdoes LBJ in stuff that matters, but I don't think Finals record is a meaningful stat. Even if you go 12-9 in three Finals series, you still have three rings at the end of the day. Who cares about the unimpressive 12-9 record.

LBJ will care about the rings, not the records. I don't think he'll match six rings, but even if he bows out with three rings and an overall losing record in the Finals, I think he's happy.

Looks like Miller will start? I consider this desperation.

I can't believe Shane Battier has been moved out of that rotation. I know he's in a slump, but the guy can still defend, and should get some open looks for 3. I think I could even beat Mike Miller off the dribble. I don't see this going well.

LeBron finals record 7-10

21.5 ppg

That should nail shut the discussion of ever comparing him to MJ.

He quit last night.

Its actually 7-11

Lebron 21 ppg 7.05 Assists 8.6 Reb

Jordan 33 ppg 5.97 assists 6.02 Reb

Jordan was 24-11

Without looking it up Id be willing to bet that Pippens NBA finals stats are remarkably similar( but probably a just a notch below) to LeBrons.

if you're Duncan and the Spurs win, do you retire?

No way. They'll have a good chance to repeat. They're bringing back almost every core guy, and he made All NBA first team this year. He can clearly still play at a high level.

Plus I don't think Duncan would just up and retire in the middle of an NBA Finals series.

Hmm...I don't know. He did make All NBA, but Dirk was in and out this season, and Love was out. He did have a nice season though. Everyone behind Ginobli and Parker is extremely important, but is anyone prepared to emerge? KeepingScore likes Leonard; is he ready to take up the mantle from a guy like Ginobli?

Of course he is. Haven't you been watching? Kawhi was my guy before KS, he's late to the party.

Miami looks sharp. I'm worried. And the refs look determined for a 7 game series.

So a post up is an offensive foul?

Horrible.

Horseshit call on Duncan.

LeBron is trying to break ribs by driving his shoulder into anyone near him.

think these refs are in some gambling debt.

These refs are terrible. Let them play. Every time Miami gets down they get an assist from the refs. Wade should have 4 or 5 fouls already and Bosh was falling before he got touched.

This game is a great example of why I took a hiatus from the NBA.
