Mt Greenwood and Merrionette park is filled with douchebag cops and firefighters and their douchebag kids. This is not surprising.

2 Merrionette Park firefighters charged with trying to rape woman at party

Two south suburban firefighters face charges over allegations that one of them tried to rape a passed-out woman at a party Friday while the other was on look-out.
Merrionette Park firefighters and Chicago residents Marvin Buhle, 24, and Michael Haas, 20, both appeared in Cook County bond court on Sunday. They are each charged with criminal sexual abuse and attempted criminal sexual assault.

Buhle was ordered held in lieu of $250,000 bail Sunday. Haas was ordered held in lieu of $100,000 bail.

Haas and Buhle were at a party early Friday morning at a home on the 3900 block of West 109th Street in the Mount Greenwood neighborhood, according to court records.

The victim and her boyfriend were visiting from out of town and didn’t know Haas or Buhle, Assistant State’s Attorney Bridget O’Brien said.

The woman had too much to drink and her boyfriend took her upstairs to lie down in a bedroom, O’Brien said.

He stayed with her for a while then left the bedroom door open and went back to the party, O’Brien said.

Haas and Buhle allegedly told the other guests they were leaving and went upstairs, she said.

Later, the victim’s boyfriend went to check on his girlfriend and found Haas standing in front of the now-closed bedroom door, O’Brien said.

The boyfriend opened the door and allegedly saw Buhle in a “push-up stance” on top of the victim, she said.

Buhle’s pants were down and the previously clothed victim was naked from the waist down, according to court records.

The boyfriend screamed and Buhle tried to flee, according to court records, but he was caught and detained until police arrived and arrested him in the early morning hours Friday.

Buhle told police the victim “had been making eyes at me,” and had invited him upstairs, O’Brien said.

He also told police she had removed her own pants, O’Brien said.

Neither Buhle nor Haas has a criminal background, she said.

Haas’ family was in court Sunday and declined comment.

“He denies the charges and looks forward to fighting them in court,” Haas’ attorney, Sean O’Brien, who is not related to Bridget O’Brien, said outside the courtroom.

Yeah, I think it's safe to say that this story won't be holding up in court.

Are these guys retarded?

Heroes.

Its guys like this who give the good cops and fireman a bad name. I hope they end up in jail for a long time.

I'm glad the boyfriend went upstairs when he did and that the firemen were unable to escape before the Police arrived. Nothing about their story seems plausible. One thing that surprises me in the story, is that one of the scumbags was just 20 years old. I thought that all municipalities had regulations for hiring that candidates must be 21 years of age or older.

Chus, to infer that anyone might defend these two was stupid.

I'll bet they beat the rap or plead

On another note, did anyone see the picture in the Sun Times yesterday showing the boston and chicago firemen hanging out together with one the guys wearing a t shirt that read in big bold letters "I'm surrounded by jagoffs". Way to pick that one up Sun Times editors.

That passed out chick took her own pants off and then passed out again but before she did she told me not to stop and asked if one of my friends could watch the door in case her boyfriend came back. I mean I thought she was just a freak.

Merionette pk is a tiny ass village, they can't have more than a dozen firemen. Why are you lumping in Greenwood with these two scumbags?

They live in Mt. Greenwood.

Merrionette park is pretty much a suburb of Mt Greenwood.

I see they live in Chicago but not what neighborhood. Did you read their addresses somewhere? This is a dirty act by a couple of scumbags...but this probably happens every weekend in Logan square n Lincoln pk.

There is a huge difference between defending a Police Officer that has arrested someone for DUI after he has a BAC reading of Zero and this. In that case, there are substances that may be in the drivers system that impairs his ability to operate a motor vehicle besides alcohol. In this case, all evidence points to wrongdoing on the part of the firemen. The shoe doesn't fit.

http://www.suntimes.com/news/metro/2076 ... ckey-.html

Looks like the product of SunTimes recent decision to shitcan all 30 of their full time staff photographers and rely on reporters with iPhones to supply the paper with pics (as well as Getty and AP wires etc):

http://www.colbertnation.com/the-colber ... s--iphones

Maybe that reporter was trying to send a message about how she feels about her employer these days.

It's two different scenarios, but like I said, there have been several occasions where you quickly make a judgment in a story, often defending the indefensible. You were quick to take George Zimmerman's side, despite the fact that he shot an unarmed teenager. You were quick to take Bagel's neighbor's side, taking a swipe at Bagels employment situation in the process.

The horseshoe does in fact fit.

I did take Zimmermans side, because the black kid had a criminal history and appeared to be staking out homes to break into. He also had a history of drug use and had marijuana in his system and was suspended from school for violence on a school official. The kid was a problem child, no angel and the world is better off without his kind.

As far as Bagels situation, I just advised that as much as he was on probation, it made sense not to allow the situation to escalate where he might have further legal entanglements that I would suspect he might rather avoid. You gave him amazingly stupid advice in the same thread, advising him not to back down and stand up to the neighbor.

The shoe does not fit and you are wrong again/still/generally.

GZ started the entire altercation, and shot and killed an unarmed kid. Trayvon's history has nothing to do with that. GZ didn't know his history. How is that relevant, counselor? Shooting kids that get suspended from school, or have ganja in their system is the wrong thing to do. You conveniently ignore GZ's history of this same type of aggressive behavior. Defending the indefensible. This may actually be the dumbest thing that you have ever said, and that is covering a lot of ground.

Bagels' neighbor is a bitch who was just looking to cause trouble. We have all had asshole neighbors like that. Bagels correctly called his bluff. You just haven't gotten the cop power trip thing out of your system, and it clouded your already poor judgment.

I don't care what problems the kid had, he did not deserve to die. For you to suggest he did and that the world is better off because he is dead is absolutely pathetic.

The world would actually be better off without your kind.

That is pretty harsh, Stevearino

I would argue the world would be better off without Asshole Cop wannabe with itchy trigger fingers like Zimmerman

Why does the marijuana bother you or matter? That hurts no one
