Five years ago I probably would have asked the same question, but at 37 I think it's likely that he gave all he had. A good Ginobli would have helped, but him and Wade have clearly lost a step. Leonard needs to be featured more.


You need him out there, this isn't a game in December, you put your best guys on the court. For the Spurs it's a Finals clincher, win and you get a ring.

I will agree on Leonard.

Ginobili had more turnovers than points IIRC and his shot selection was awful. That's probably the worst game I've ever seen a key player play. They win if he stayed home. The moment was too big for him or he was trying to throw the game.

I don't know why, he was making Bosh his bottom bitch for the entire 1st half and the....POOF......he doesn't get the ball anymore and, I may be wrong, but he didn't see much of the court, either. I know he's old, but he was killing it and then nothing.

Its difficult to ascertain whether Duncan had anything left or not. He was not featured enough. One of the reasons that it was easy to see the failings of Ginobili was because he constantly had the ball even in key situations. The way Duncan was rolling I would have taken my chances.

I thought you meant AWOL in terms of not producing. Of course he needs to be on the court, but I meant his lack of scoring is likely due to age factors. Plus I think RPB is right in recalling that the Heat began to double him.

Green or Neal or whoever needs to keep taking 3's, then. The whole 2nd half the Spurs looked like they were in a manic state or had a collective middle ear infection. The tight, crisp team that was OWNING the Miami Heat in the 1st half turned into a NBA-D League team in the 2nd half.

Yes they did begin to double and that should have been even more reason to give him the ball. Duncan is a good passer and should have been trusted in terms of making the best basketball decision. That would have been better option for me as opposed to simply giving the ball to Parker because Parker really didn't have it going last night. He hit two key shots last night but he did not have a good shooting night.

The screen and roll wasn't working. Pop should have thrown the ball in the post and allowed Duncan to go to work. Pop showed why he shouldn't be mentioned in the same breath as Phil. This isn't the Nets or 8th seeded Knicks. You can't have brain cramps.

Mentally getting over a loss like this in 48 hours will be nearly impossible. On the other side Miami has supreme confidence and history on their side. No road team has won a Game 7 in nearly 40 yrars.


Heat hasn't won back-to-back games since mid-May. Spurs have won the last four times after a loss by an average of over 10 points.
