At the start of the interview with Weigel Mac said that he's come under fire for the tie he wore and then mentioned that Bernstein had been critical of him. Not Mac himself, not anyone on Mac's show -- Bernstein. That made Bernstein sound like he wouldn't get Weigel on to talk to him about it himself.

Mac: "Does the criticism bother you?"
Weigel: "No. It bothers me if it comes from someone I respect."

That was pretty awesome.

I don't know if I've ever actually seen Weigel Jr do Sports but I always assumed he was a pud.
I proabably still won't see him because it's not 1980 and I don't need to wait for the local news......but I really respect him for saying that.
