Telling reporters to call him "three" in the post game press conference. This d-bag was dragged across the finish line by the best player in the sport and he has the audacity to be this arrogant? I've changed my tune a bit on James, I think he's a decent guy and one of the greatest professional athletes in sports history, but Wade keeps sinking as a person and as a player.

Yes, he is.

Flashing 3 fingers in the team photo when no one on the team besides him (and maybe Haslem? I don't know) was on the 06 team. This is Lebron's team and he got carried. Fuck this guy.

He's the worst. I can kind of understand why Bosh catches more crap, but I really don't understand why he gets a pass over James so frequently.

Well bully for him. He showed up for two games this finals, while almost shooting them out of game 6. Wojnarowski had an article after game 4 which made the point that if Wade is able to explode like he did in that game then he absolutely should not get a pass for his poor play the vast majority of the rest of the playoffs. I'd hope he'd be held to a higher standard than the players named in your post, particularly given the media's predilection for giving him credit even above Lebron for the Heat's success.

The "3" stuff was ridiculous in the presser. He seemed to insinuate that the champagne was making him giggity, but the reporters were definitely under the impression that they were to indeed call him "3", and they continued to do so. He never said anything like, "knock it off, I was just kidding."
So that was douchey.

The board for the most part doesn't like him as this has been brought up time and time again, but overall, I don't mind him.

I used to be a big fan of Wade. Loved watching him at Marquette and his first 6-7 years in the NBA, but I've really been turned off by the way he's carried himself the last few years.

He will be out in New Lenox next month so he can charge 150 dollars a kid for a two day camp.

Marquette is the only college team I follow. He was easily my favorite college player ever and I loved him his first couple years in the league.

After the first title, he turned into a mega douche.

Dan Bernstien better hold those reporters to at least the same high level of scorn as he held Rafer Wiegal

It is clear that winning isn't what DWade wants. He wants to win and be "the man." He resents the fact that this is Lebron's team. What I don't understand is how he didn't see this coming when he signed up to play with Lebron.

Wade already has his eye on his post basketball career. Basketball is just a vehicle for other things at this point and has been for a couple of years.

Yes. Yes he is, Powerhouse. Congrats to Lebron, but I hate the fact that Wade won another title.

He should make Lebron call him "3" too.

I think it comes down to PR. James took a massive hit in the public eye after the 2010 free agent debacle. There were persuasive arguments back then about whether or not LBJ would ever be able to regain his stature. His performance over the past three years has won many back, but the stink of 2010 still remains. Wade, already a champion, obviously didn't take the same PR hit. Staying in Miami as opposed to leaving didn't expose him to the same criticism Bosh and James received as well.

Wade should be viewed as the villian in the whole Heat scenario from a Chicagoan's perspective. They guy deserves to be mercileslly booed every time he shows his face in this city. Yet there he is with camps (summer kind not the movie making kind) and happy news reports. The guy actively and purposefully conspired against the Bulls.

The ass licking that Magic Johnson gave both James and Wade in the postgame was sickening. When they had Wade, he told Wade he was the most unselfish player of All-Time. Then told him he was the most respected and that Chicago loved him. I don't know many people in Chicago who love him.

I just call him "Kanye" and continue on my day. Incidentally, say what you will about Jay-Z, but his new album sounds like it has more promise than Yeezus. Plus there's that whole minor difference where Jay can rap, but that's not all that important nowadays.

source from Grantland:

• He dresses like Lucille Bluth.
• When he's struggled, he's generally refused to take responsibility.
• He remains king of the cheap shots.
• He nicknamed himself "WOW" earlier this season, and even LeBron said it was corny.
• He's been a liability for the majority of the Heat's playoff run, and before Thursday, there was plenty of evidence the Heat are better without him.
• Even when he plays well, he still dominates the ball, complains to the refs constantly, and hijacks the Miami offense for possessions at a time.

This is an incomplete list of Dwyane Wade transgressions, but you get the idea.

Was out celebrating last night wearing #3FORWADE t-shirt.

What type of douche has personal t-shirts printed up in case his team wins him something?

i know, right? and to think in game 6 we were a few plays away from those shirts going overseas to clothe underprivileged kids in africa! dwayne could have helped someone dammit!

/me flashes back to all of those ugly unofficial shirts with the "3" design comprised of the bulls horns. i thought it was amazing/magic that my dad had one before the bulls even won the series =D

Still think Wade's image is better because he never left Miami, while LeBron ditched Cleveland under cruel circumstances.

Functionally, it doesn't matter which player left which city to join the other. It's the same result: they all play together. The perception however works against James. All these Wade things are overlooked because he'd already attained superhero status a long long time ago in Miami. James is still rehabilitating his image.
