It's too hard to tell who will be available, but in general, this draft class kind of sucks.

If available, Tim Hardaway Jr. should be the choice.

Analysis: He's had just one workout with the Knicks, though that's about to change. The Bulls really need a shooter, and that isn't exactly Franklin's forté. However, his jumper has improved considerably. What head coach Tom Thibodeau will love immediately is Franklin's defensive presence on the floor. Thi is one of the toughest players in the draft and a kid who should contribute immediately -- a smaller version of Kawhi Leonard. Hardaway Jr. also is a strong possibility here.

Seeing this guy in a couple mock drafts. Any scouting reports??

IMO Franklin or Dieng would be a good selection for them.

If SG is the choice, my guy is Crabbe out of Cal. Tall and long (that's hot), he is a guy who is still developing but definitely has a shooter's mentality

Allen Crabbe (Cal, Jr.)

SG, 6'6, 205 lbs.

Pros: Frame could easily stand to add more weight, great at coming off screens AND curls oh my, lovely jumper, offensive versatility, long-ass arms, shot some crazy high percentage on unguarded catch and shoot jumpers (something like 55%), floater looks pretty good

Cons: Passive. Goofy ears. Doesn't provide much defensively. Should never ever put the ball on the floor. Likely soft. Nothing to write home about athletically. Can't finish at the hoop for some reason. Can't create his own shot. "Allen Crabbe" is like the worst basketball name of all time.

Projection: Fringe

If they stay where they are, it's either a big man who can potentially get some limited minutes as the 4th big man on the roster after Noah, Boozer and Gibson or another athletic wing man, SG/SF type. Assuming both Deng and Butler are starting next season at SF/SG, they do need another player off the bench with the ability to guard at least one of these positions.

I know there are rumors about the Bulls trading up in the draft, but this is a very conservative managerial philosphy. They are limited in what they can add to the current group under contract and will be forced to find bargain basement type deals so I really think this draft is about filling a need, finding a guy who can possibly give 10-15 off the bench at some point during the season as opposed to taking a guy like Teague, who wasn't ready to play in the NBA last season.

Who would they be moving up to get?

I don't really see anyone in this draft worth moving up for. Stay where you are and take your chances of getting someone who can contribute. They did it with Taj and with Butler.

Wizards, Bulls Have Discussed Luol Deng

The Wizards and Bulls have engaged in "exploratory talks" about the possibility of a Luol Deng trade, according to ESPN.com's Marc Stein. Stein reports that if the discussions were to become more serious, the most likely construction for a deal would involve the Bulls receiving the No. 3 pick and Emeka Okafor, for salary-matching purposes.

Stein cautions that the talks may simply be a way for the Bulls to gauge the value of Deng, and adds that the Cavaliers are reported to have interest in the Chicago forward as well. According to Stein, more potential trade partners figure to surface if the Bulls convey they're seriously entertaining the idea of moving Deng.

20. Chicago Bulls: Tony Snell, New Mexico, 6'7'', SG/SF

With Jimmy Butler expected to start in the backcourt next season, the Bulls could be targeting depth behind a fragile Luol Deng.

At 6'7'' with a 6'11.5'' wingspan and smooth athleticism, Tony Snell fits the physical description of an NBA small forward. He also shot over 38 percent from downtown in back-to-back years and can handle the ball or score on the move.

He'll need to work on his motor for defensive purposes, but something tells me Tom Thibodeau would find a way to activate it.

He's a prospect on the rise after a strong pre-draft process.

Wonder who they would be interested in at 3?

Porter or McLemore would be my guesses

6-7, 200 lbs.

School: New Mexico

Class: Junior

Selected with the 20th overall pick by Chicago Bulls

STRENGTHS: Snell caught fire in the Mountain West tournament and pretty much shot New Mexico to the conference title. He’s a long, exceptional athlete with a great shooting stroke and an innate ability to take over games. Snell has the frame and athleticism to be a good defender in the NBA, and has the range and clutch-ness to knock down shots when he’s open. With those traits, you can see him becoming a valuable rotation guy. He’s got the shiftiness to be a good off-the-dribble scorer, but also does well shooting off the catch and understands how to move without the ball. Snell is a good decision-maker and lets the game come to him.

WEAKNESSES: Though he often took over in late-game situations, Snell didn’t show the same assertiveness through the entire game. He’d defer to lesser-talented teammates, and despite being a capable scorer, only put up 12.5 points per game. He had some monster games last season (25 against Davidson, 27 against George Mason), but also put up less than 10 points a whopping 13 times. That’s unacceptable. He scored just 9 points on 4-of-12 shooting in the stunning opening-round loss to Harvard.

BOTTOM LINE: Snell is an intriguing prospect because he already has a skill that will suit him well in the NBA (he can shoot the heck out of the ball). He’s also got NBA size and length, and could become a good defender at the small forward.Like most prospects, he’ll need to add some muscle, but the potential is there for Snell to help an NBA team immediately next season. For that reason, a playoff team could bet on him late in the first round.

They could have taken Cody Zeller with the 1st pick and I would trust their decision. They have only missed once in 10 years and that turned out well.

My guy Leslie was not even drafted. I think that is a mistake. He'll be one of those guys who goes to Europe and is a suprise NBA rookie in a few years.
