People go to the hospital for anything if they believe it will make them money in a lawsuit.

Half of the people on this board probably have more money than Pip.

Your purposely missing the point. How about not posting the word at all?

Didn't you used to have the word as an acronym in your signature?

I thought you did and they were song lyrics. If not, then never mind.

If you don't want to see that word perpetuated I would think you'd have a much bigger problem with rappers using it than bagels.

I don't use the word. It's annoying to see it posted so often by white board members. Doesn't matter if it is lyrics or not. Somehow The Lodge can find appropriate substitutions for the word but a group of racially sensitive whites can't. This board frowns on the use of the R word however there is no problem with the posting of the N word. Surprisingly the overwhelming majority of the posts come from whites and it really needs to stop. I am confident Steve isn't the only one that enjoys posting the word. Others hide behind the fact no one thinks they are a racist. Not being racist still doesn't make it acceptable to frequently post the word. #COMMONSENSE™

I've never posted it outside of a lyric and even those I usually use ****

Should I not post any lyrics with the word?

I even asked a few years back about the lyric thing and thought the *** was fine

Your comparisin is kinda ridiculous. The board doesn't OK the n word

Outside of quoting songs, I've seen it maybe twice in 5 years

I see the R word almost weekly

Your confidence in knowing what other people think is I'll advised

You couldn't have been more wrong about me dying to use the word

I don't ever say it. I dont ever want to use it. And I asked a legitimate question because I've seen it more than usual with the rise of social media

So if you're wrong about me, which you clearly were, maybe your wrong about others

It was posted 5+ times in a thread you created a few weeks ago that I mocked.

I stand by my comments. You were one of the first non racists that I noticed get comfortable posting the word.

I've [u]never/u] posted it outside of quoting lyrics.

I think that's an important distinction.

And a while back ....a black guy here told a white guy he was fine with said white guy using it and I told both of them and made it known to all it was a terrible idea

I won't post it in lyrics anymore, anyway

I don't use the "N" word, but I don't think blacks should have carte blanche to use it either. The rapppers who use that word should get the Paula Deen treatment.

Dude, don't bring me into it. Yeah, I said I don't care about the word in lyrical form and my opinion hasn't changed. Not sure what that has to do with what Nas is saying. We're two different people. It obviously bothers him. Take that up with him.

And Peeps, you're really gonna say I set you up? Really?

I do see that n***a is being used a lot more by non blacks these days. Its become a very casual word where you can hear or see on all forms of media.
I know ive used it and still use it to this day even though ive toned it down. I grew up in a grimey hood where 90% of the residents were ricans and blacks so that word was instilled in the hood vernacular.

I was led astray by my mentor.

Much like Chris Adams did to Steve Austin.

I didnt bring you into it. I didnt even use your name. No one would have known who I was talking about without this post.

It speaks to my general attitude towards the word. THAT's what it has to do with it. It's perfectly relevant so back off

And the "were two different people" line is insulting as fuck. I know that.

And you know me better to think I would play a "one black guy said its ok" card.

This is why I'm desensitized to the word to some degree. Because I grew up in a similar environment. I actually didn't learn there was a racial connotation to the word until about age 9 because up until then, I had only heard black people say it and no one taught me what it meant.

I don't use the word much anymore but occasionally it will slip out depending on who I'm talking to and how heated the conversation is.

A word.

A word 'embiggened' only by those who want it to have power. A close cousin of the crowd who can't wait to be offended by something and then scream bloody murder.

Keep it; the lot of it.

I think I know your point, and I don't agree with it.

It's not a word white people should use.
