Isn't he kind of a douchebag? He was preaching loyalty when Ray Allen wanted to leave but then he runs when the Celtics title window shuts. How can you respect a leader like that?

Most overrated coach in NBA history. Couldn't coach his way out of a paper bag or win anything until KG and Allen showed up. The Celtics were able to win one in spite of his stupidity.

He gets a pass because he is media friendly.

Outcoached Phil in the Finals. Thats not an easy thing to accomplish. The series thread is probably in the NBA section still. Every great coach needs players. Considering the injuries they had, especially KG in '09, I don't feel like any of Doc's teams underachieved. How many coaches in the NBA, and who obviously, would you rank ahead of him.

Pop, Thibs, and Carlisle are the easy ones. Cases can be made for Spoelstra, Adelman, and maybe but probably not George Karl. Who else are you choosing before Doc to coach your team(Phil isn't available unless you manage to acquire Durant AND LeBron).

Took not so good Orlando teams to playoffs and worked Phil in the Finals. No way i'll call him overrated. Thanks to Rondo Ray Allen has another ring and the Clippers are getting a hell of a coach. Also it looks as if the Cs are committed to rebuilding. No way they wanna pay Doc all that money for a team thats not going anywhere any time soon.
