I am right. I believe a healthy Deng and Hinrich would have been enough this past season.

honestly, what do you think the odds of all the Bulls players being healthy at the same time are?

This group? Not probable.

It would have been really good theater. They were playing that well before Deng got hurt/sick. He seemed to fade toward the end, so I think he had been ill for a little while. When he was hot, they were a very dangerous team.

There should be no reason why, going into the next season. Gibson and Noah should have their feet issues handled, Boozer has actually been an iron man outside of tripping over his bag, Deng will have the entire summer off to rest his wrist. The key will be if Rose is healthy. Yes, I said Rose. Because it isn't guaranteed that he is ready in time for camp.

I was thinking about that this morning, Kamps. I don't think Derrick will be in uniform on opening night. I'm not basing that on anything concrete and obviously I hope I'm wrong. I just have a feeling we won't see him play right away.

Dumping Deng would be stupid.

Tony Allen and LeBron are the two best perimeter defenders in the league.

I still think it's completely possible that Kobe is back before Rose.

That means there is another injury.

Hinrich sucks, the two biggest wins of the year had no hinrich or Deng.

Hinrich doesn't suck. Asking him to play 60 mins was the main problem. No one ran the offense better and he was still a solid defender.

Nah, he's a hack. Always in foul trouble. It was dumb to bring him back.

If he isn't ready to go, you get ready to deal him.

Derrick has to play by the beginning of the season. He will get run out of town if he doesnt. People are already pissed and a Chicago team just won a championship. If he doesnt play they might as well trade him because the fan base will be through with him.

I have a feeling the boo birds will be out on opening night even if he does suit up.

And then when he suits up the next game the stadium will erupt with cheers and there will be MVP! chants in the 4th quarter.

Edit: I'm a dumbass.

I agree Nas. I couldn't find anything detailing the end of season stats but as of March 6, 2013 (courtesy of Blog-a-Bull)...
For the year, Hinrich has a net rating of 4.2, which is second-best on the team. When he's off the court, the Bulls' net rating is -1.0. Looking even further, we see a pretty significant bump in performance for the rest of the Bulls' normal starters when Hinrich is on the floor. Luol Deng is shooting 2 percent better. Joakim Noah is shooting 4.4 percent better. Richard Hamilton is shooting 5 percent better. Carlos Boozer is shooting 5.3 percent better. And since Marco Belinelli has started quite a bit, I'll include him too. Belinelli is shooting 5.8 percent better with Hinrich on the floor. The Bulls are 29-15 with Hinrich this year and 5-11 without him...

Those numbers are misleading.

How many games the bulls lost with hinrich out when ...

1. Boozer was out
2. Noah was out
3. Taj was out
4. Deng was out.

Its not like the bulls lost just because hinrich was out..there were other players missing too. Small sample size, dude is soft n kept getting injured. It was a stupid ass move to sign him n rip. Perion

Boozer played all but 3 games
Taj? Please. Quite the scoring threat in 2012/2013...
Noah missed his games when Hinrich was playing mainly 3/22-4/15
Deng missed 7 games and played in all games in Feb and March where Hinrich was out and Bulls lost

Bottom line Hinrich had to play too many minutes. He is very good at what he does for the team, distributing the ball and getting the team in proper sets. He fouls alot. He plays hard defense. It was apparent when he played aggressively on defense the team followed. At this stage he is a step slow, but still a very effective leader and player in a backup role. I can see next year being a good year for him if Rose is healthy.

He's a lot of things but he's not soft. That's ridiculous.
