If it is a center:

Dieng
Plumlee

If it is a SG:

Crabbe

My bet is Dieng and I really like that pick. I don't think he will be a star but he has a skill that immediately makes him an acceptable part of the regular rotation. He works hard and I kind of like his mid range game. It needs work but I think there is something there offensively. I also think he is mobile for a big man.

If they draft Plumlee I am going to be pissed.

Dieng will be a nice addition.

1st round pick? 3rd or 4th best OT still on the board.

He is definitely an intriguing guy and I wouldn't be against the Bulls drafting him. I am just not sure he has a position in the NBA. Seems like a tweener that does not really fit in either the 2 or the 3.

I agree. I think it's a chance you take at 20 though since most of those picks end up failing anyways.

Dieng just seems like such the perfect fit for this team. He immediately fills that Asik void and probably is better than it than Asik was.

Then they can try to pull another rabbit out of their hat with a minimum free agent shooter.

I prefer a dependable SG. I think you can find a big white oaf to back up Noah easier on the cheap FA list.

I love that one of my most despised franchises has the #1 overall pick,
and with less than 3 hours to go until the draft begins, can’t decide who they want and can’t find anyone that wants to trade with them for the rights to making the #1 overall pick.

Dog franchise is dog.

WOOF WOOF!

Erik Murphy, a forward/center from Florida, is the Bulls' 2nd pick at #49 overall.

Looking back on how I think they should have drafted based on how things went yesterday: I would have drafted Dieng with that first pick. He fills a role immediately with the potential to develop into more. I would have then moved up a little in the second round and taken Ledo.

I really liked Dieng and would have been thrilled with them getting him.

But I am very happy with what they did. What can Dieng do that Murphy cannot? Plus Murphy can hit the 3 as well. Snell is better than anyone you were going to get in the 2nd round. I think it is a win-win, and both kids have a shot at contributing relatively quickly.

Dieng can defend the post at a very high level in the NBA today. That skill alone will give him a 10 year career in the league as a rotational backup. If he further develops his offensive game, then you really have something. It also happens to be a position the Bulls needed to fill.

I don't think that's the type of player Murphy is, although I have to admit I am not fully conversant on UF basketball this year.

Is Snell any better than the guys team took a flier on at SG later? I don't know that he is better than Ledo, Crabbe, etc. They all seem to be pretty much the same player. Snell is taller, has longer arms and seems more athletic so he goes a little higher but will he end up being a better shooter than those other guys? Who knows.

That's why I would take the definite in Dieng who also has potential
