I believe Thibs will get the talent out of Dunlevey that no other coach has been able to. He's underachieved his entire career.

Korver and Bellinelli earned their money for us. There's no reason at all to think Dunleavy won't do the same.

I wonder if the back story on the Adams firing will come out.

KC knows but he ain't saying.

Do you believe that Dan Bernstein was right in saying that behind the scenes the Bulls were highly disappointed that Rose didn't play at all this last season?

Dude everyone was. He was medically cleared in like what, February? He should have played. Everyone knows it.

I know Hockey is a different sport. But look at those guys. Look at what they played with. And look at Derrick Rose.

No reason to cross-compare sports. Look what Rose's teammates played with just to beat Brooklyn. It's pretty much the definition of playing for pride.

One last thought. Tom Thibodeau is much more valuable to a franchise than Gar Forman. If this tension is real, and the Bulls pick the wrong guy, their window that I keep telling everyone is still open will be officially be shut and we will most likely be fucked as Bulls fans. Anyone who says coaching doesn't matter in the NBA is an idiot.

This is what worries me about this situation. Reinsdorf seems pretty loyal to his executives.

Jerry will not fire a top 3 coach. He just signed his extension so this talk is pointless.

Yup, this is exactly what I thought and expressed in a different thread. Thibs is a proven difference-maker, and Forman will set the Bulls back if he engineers Thibs' dismissal.

This is an issue but not cause for dismissal, in my opinion. Perhaps we see Deng's minutes go down this year due to the emergence of Butler. As far as I see it, the only guy that's been over extended is probably Deng.

so is garpax dead? i noticed that during the week dan bernstein made it a point to tell me that this is 100% gar and NOT garpax and it's gar gar gar so i'm not going to challenge anything and know my place. this is obviously a 100% gar forman joint.

Noah was certainly overextended last season, but I still don't see it as a big cause for concern. Thibs has been better than I ever thought he would be(and as has can attest to I thought he would be a great coach before they hired Vinny in '08). No reason to even slightly consider replacing him over what really is his only flaw as far as I can tell.

I wonder if Adams wasn't the leak that was attempting to publicly shame rose into playing, thibs could have used Adams to be his mouthpiece n garpax didn't approve.

It might make sense if that was Bernsie's guy and that's why he is so pissed they canned him?

Good point. Since Gar awkwardly commandeered the impromptu Adams firing press conference, and was the principle exec. cited in the papers when the story broke, I've been referring to him and not GarPax.
