Looks very comfortable at the plate. The leap to MLB hasn't stunned him. Stronger then he looks. Has some gap power. Good speed. Not great. Kind of runs like a girl however. He runs with his hands open and his palms facing down. Whatever, as long as he gets to where he wants to go.

Seems pretty agile in the field. Turns the double play quick. Not great on going back for pop ups. One time he took a horrible route.

My question for him is whether he can play SS. Uribe with the 5M option shouldn't be here next year, but I don't think there is much on the market for SS's.

If he is comfortable and productive at second, why make the switch. Its not like you have another major league option at second base, unless you go resign Iguchi. I do not know of any free agent second basemen to be. A-Rod is a pipe dream. I say groom Richar, get rid of Uribe and try to make a trade for a SS in the offseason. If you cant, platoon Andy Gonzalez and Cintron.

Usually you can never switch a guy to short at the big league level. That never works. The good short stops are at short their whole life.

Short to 2nd happens alot. But never 2nd to short. Or rarely I should say. I can't think of an example.

Could not agree more, at any level of baseball, short is the toughest position to play other than catcher. Find a SS. The Sox have not had a quality shortstop year in and year out since their current manager played there.
