Lakers are a lock to win a title with Howard.

I think Howard will have chronic back problems and that will impact his effectiveness for stretches of time.

I think his back problems were extremely minor to non-existent.

He just didn't want to play for Orlando at the end of the season, and I bet he would not have suited up for a single game all year if he was not traded.

So your thought is the back surgery he went through for a herniated disc was really just a facade?

Indeed.

B&B either stated it or implied that Dwight Howard is a lock to deliver a NBA title. They were citing how trading for the best center in the game has always worked out and resulted in titles.
Not always...

Listening to the podcast now. For the record, Terry said that it's a good thing, and that team wins championships. Dan's exact quote is "Generally when the best center in the game is available, the team that gets him is in contention. Right away. Like the Heat for example." Made up radio, BRick. One said it. Not the other. Just stating facts.

Who can't envision the Nets becoming a contender by trading for Howard? A majority of the East is turrible this year. Of course they would become a contender. Lopez will be back next month.

this deserves to be quoted.

OK,so if Noah is averaging 12-12 and Howard is averaging 20-16,you trade the house for 8 and 4???

It's more than just stats Jimmy. Dwight Howard is so much better than any Center(maybe Bynum comes a little closer to him this year) it's not even fair. And Noah isn't averaging 12-12.

Talk about a stupid NBA thought

I don't know when FF wrote that, but Howard was far and away the best NBA center until his last season or two in Orlando.

the entire premise of this thread originated from somewhat imaginary radio.

No it didn't. Read my explanation, and how it was once again confirmed on other occasions.

Unless you don't understand what implied means.
