3 more hits last night. 12/22, .545 now. Greatest Cub ever, or greatest Cub ever by far?

Seriously though, nice to see that it looks like he belongs. Of course, he could go 0/37 and get sent right back down.

Glad I picked him up for my fantasy team. He looks like he has a huge hole in his swing. But the fact that he is a great bunter means he may be able to avoid long slumps. I still think he'll strike out a ton because of the way he loops when he swings. Good showing so far.

Shit, I'd take that in a heartbeat. 17 years, .284/393/1199. Yep, good with me.

Will it give the Cubs a WS winner?

Up until he was called up, based on his name, I thought he was a white dude.

Had the same problem with Josh Beekman for some reason.

He was real highly thought of a couple years ago then seemed to fall back just a bit.

Seen him projected as a super sub type. Still hoping for at least that.

I keep thinking of Tuffy Rhodes on opening day a long time ago.
I think once Soriano leaves,he becomes a fixture in LF.

The Oozing Sox jealousy is now even effecting the insults.

I think 99% of MLB players would love to have Edmonds career! Multiple All Star votes, I would guess MVP Votes over the years, played till 40, made some generational wealth. ($90-$100M?)

So, if this was an attempt at an insult, it was a HUGE miss on Kirkwoods part, or does he only know Jim Edmonds as the washed up 40 year old that Kenny begged to come back and play?

Personally, I dont think Lake will be close to Edmonds, he will be Gary Mathews Junior, not on the roids. He will play in the league for 5/6 more years, signed as 4th/5th OF. Uless he gets some "HELP" like Sarge Jr did

considering you said "Lucky" to be Edmonds, I would think a super sub would be right where you might think he would be?

Ben Finfer says that Jr. Lake is a reason to watch and go to the ballpark.

Kinda strange he would say that because he hasn't watched baseball in a month or so.

Drawing a blank, but did he blow up right away like Lake is doing now? Corey Patterson was the guy I was on. Can't remember his start either though. I can still picture him stepping on first base, and fucking his knee up. Seemed like he finally figured it out, then that was it.

Minor league stats suggest a reserve outfielder type, but who knows?
